More style than substance

I bought a set of these less than a year ago. Although the salt grinder is still going strong after six months, the pepper grinder has broken after around nine months of regular use.
It is also tricky to adjust how coarse/fine you want the pepper to be ground, so we often end up with half peppercorns in our dinner.
Disappointing.

We bought the pair approximately 4 months ago, and are totally satisfied with the product.
They both receive daily usage and apart from some initial confusion on how to adjust the grinding mechanism (my fault, it's not the tail by the way) we cannot fault them.
The design is robust and easily cleaned and our guests are always delighted by them.

I bought a pepper grinder for my partner as a stocking filler for Christmas. He was delighted, however, yesterday the ear snapped off. He is very disapointed and now I can see that the design has a flaw. There is a weak point at the base of the ears and it snaps in normal usage.
