The negative reviews surprise me. I've just bought this to replace the old, round version which lasted for several years, and I wouldn't be without a dossil! It is one of the simplest and most effective products I've ever bought from Lakeland: it stays in place in the shower; traps even relatively short hair; and generally saves a lot of cleaning time - I was always having to fish about in the plug hole to stop hair blockages. A 5-star product if ever there was one.

OK in the right type of plug hole

Its a great idea in theory, but in reality it will not stick to my sink plug hole with the suckers and therefore just floats around in the water whenever the water is drained - hence having no use. Instead I tried it on the upstairs shower / bath plug and it will at least stay in place there and does its job fine. However I didnt need one upstairs so it was a bit of a waste of money for me personally. My advice is that it works fine as long as it exactly fits the size of your plughole.

It does the job, but doesn't stick in place

We have a deep shower tray, so this does the job for us. The only snag is that it doesn't stick in place although does actually stay in place at the plug hole. We are still using after a couple of weeks from receiving it.
