And she wasn't disappointed - she explained that it's the Crock-Pot's versatility which makes it so different - unlike other slow cookers, the inner stoneware pot lifts out to maximise cooking possibilities, and is attractive enough to take to the table.

Just take a look at everything it can do:

  • slow cooker function with 2 different heat settings plus timer means you can have succulent, slow cooked cuisine with the minimum of effort exactly when you want it
  • lift-out 5.7 litre pot is suitable for use on the hob to brown or sauté your meat or veg (heat diffuser required on electric hobs)
  • keep warm function which activates automatically when cooking is complete, ideal if dinner is delayed or the family come home at different times
  • countdown programmable timer enables you to set the cooking time, then automatically switches to keep warm so your meal is ready when you are
  • low power usage, so it's economical in use.

We have had a slow cooker for years but decided to upgrade. We are using this pot daily. Meat is beautifully cooked, juicy & tender. We like the way it switches to Low once the programmed time is reached. Recommended.

This is my second generation pot after owning one over 30 years ago which was of limited use. This one is more functional with more style and the capacity for large gatherings. It has proved invaluable for batch freezing. I am now a born again slow cook fiend.

A very good sized slow cooker, but on only it's second outing I managed to chip the lid while simply placing it on top of the pot. I've had a smaller cooker in use for 30 years without any problem, but I doubt this will last as long. I also feel it is slightly misleading to describe it using the word 'saute' as this would involve using a higher heat to brown food than is recommended in the instruction booklet.
