1 stars out of 5 This Cooker is NOT SLOW!

by SANDRA

I bought this slow cooker back in Feb 2008 but have only attempted to use it three times. On all three occasions I have tried to cook porridge overnight on the LOW setting but have got up in the middle of the night to find it has boiled over leaving the slow cooker and my worktop in a mess. What is left in the pot is a watery congealed burnt mess not enough for one portion let along two! The contents are actually boiling rather than slow cooking. I have used a branded larger slow cooker for over thirty years and never had this problem. As I work full time I wanted to make use of both slow cookers and thought the 'Two Portion MIni Cooker' would be ideal for breakfast and the larger one for dinner. The only use I can find for this slow cooker is the actual cooking pot which I now will be using as a serving dish!!

I'm sorry to hear that the product turned out to be faulty, I can understand how disappointing this must be. We'll be in touch to put things right for you.

3 stars out of 5 Too fast!

by Miss Ross

I have recently purchased this slow cooker and was always told i could go out to work and leave the slow cooker on a low setting for eight hours. After 4 hrs my food was well and truly cooked- that was a low setting. I am now worried to leave it for any longer as it was bubbling profusely at 4 hrs. I will also try the auto setting to see if that makes any difference.

5 stars out of 5 slow cooker

by Margaret

i dont understand why people are having problems -re previous reviews. I have one and found it to be the second best i have ever had. The best was an enamel pot which sat on a one low voltage ring which meant i could brown the ingredients in the pot on the hob and put the whole thing onto the ring without having to transfer the food from one pot to another. But not being able to find another the same I bought this mini one. But if you use the low setting that will take many hours to cook the food. forget about auto if you are out all day, just use slow. I am about to order another but because the element had died after several years use, the ceramic pot and lid are still perfect but i have used it approx 3 times week and bought it after recommendation from a friend who said she would never be without it.
