A little more expensive than similar items available at DIY stores but worth it. Brabantia trustworthy name. Not as flimsy as other models. Only slight moan is that somehow cannot open drier onto the highermost notches but that does not reduce the effectiveness.

I had been putting off getting a new 'whirly' and now I wish I had bought this one a long time ago. What a treat to use! Light and easy to lift in and out so I can put it away in the shed after use (no more wiping off bird poo...) The spike hole cover sits neatly in the grass and lets me mow over the top of it (no more uncut bits of grass round the pole...) I've had it for 6 months or so now and no complaints of any kind. Love it.

Good but short lifespan”
by Mrs Gormley
I bought my first liftomatic almost 7 years ago with the cover to prolong it's life. It has had regular use weather permitting, and has withstood the Pennine weather without rusting. However, for such an expensive purchase it isn't without it's faults. I replaced the cover about 2 years ago after it perished around the seams and now need to replace the liftomatic. The adjustable height on my original never worked but fortunately it always opened at a suitable height. Now the catch has broken on the shaft and it refuses to open I am buying a replacement in the hope that it lasts longer than the original as in general it has been a good drying solution in an area difficult to access.

I am very pleased that I spent the money on this excellent product. It is so easy to use with the adjustable height and is very sturdy. I have had it a few years now and it is just as perfect as the day I got it, with no rust or sagging. Highly recommended!

Great at the start, then downhill”
by Mrs Tudor
I bought the 50m liftomatic shortly after my second son was born. Knowing how much washing I would be doing with a toddler and a new baby I wanted a washing line that would handle 3-4 loads of washing at a time. At first this washing line was perfect however after a few months it all went downhill: 1. The spike used to mount the liftomatic is not big enough to deal with the height of this product. As soon as the wind gets up the centre pole is blowing from side to side because it is not deep enough in the ground. Subsequently the hole in the garden has been made too big and the rotary no longer stays upright. 2. The washing lines are now starting to sag so I can no longer hang heavy items such as sheets and towels easily. 3. Additionally, due to the problem above I can no longer hang as much washing on my liftomatic as before becuse it is not evenly spaced (due to the sagging lines) and does not dry as well. It is a real shame this product has let me down. I hate tumble drying so I have my washing on the line every day even if it is just for a short period of time. I am now having to look at alternative drying methods that can handle the capacity I have.

This clothes line is worth every penny, definitely go for the larger one as it takes a king size duvet cover.

Purchased this on line. Excellent fast delivery service. Read previous reviews and decided to purchase the larger one and so pleased I did! Excellent quality and after my last rotary (which lasted 11 years) is so much easier to put up. Purchased the cover to prolong it's lifespan. Although this is the most I have ever paid for a rotary, It is worth every penny. Purchased the peg caddy and additional pegs and after always using wooden pegs these are a real improvement. Will be back as customer service is brilliant!

Excellent but get the larger size”
This is great - lots of space, spins easily, seems very sturdy, etc etc. I just wish I'd spent the extra £5 and got the larger size as the smaller one isn't quite wide enough to take a king sized duvet totally straight. Still, they dry fine if they are a little looped between the pegs! One other thought: if you are installing a new soil spear, you will need a long crow bar or wrecking bar to make a good, deep hole (the shovel or spade they recommended wasn't long enough) and a very big mallet to drive the spear as it was quite hard to get in. Still, I managed it all by myself in the end, so it is possible for a small woman to do.

Worth every penny...!!”
by Mrs Rebecca Hendy
With a tight budget I was not sure about spending this much on a washing line, however wher we live in north wales it does a great job in all weather from gale force winds to a gentle breeze...! So far its lasted 3 1/2 years. My friends have had a line each year in this time due to their`s bending... mine is still as new and even has the same line although I could replace it if needed. In all a great line at a great price. The kids can even help peg out the washing as you can move it down to their height..!

Does what it says on the packet!”

This drier is lightweight but strong. It holds a decent amount of washing and moves with the slightest breeze, The lines have a tie so that it can be easily lifted out and put away without getting tangled. The option to buy a spare spear is useful. Expensive but worth it.
