balds original furniture balm”
Bought the light wood balm at your Northallerton store and it works wonders. A water stain on my welsh dresser wouldn't budge until I tried the balm and it was gone in an instant. Now ordering the dark wood balm on line. Cheers Lakeland!

I got the red top for a dark oak table. I'd lent the table to a friend who unfortunately didn't care for it too well... it had scratch marks all over, down to the bare wood, and a couple of large watermarks. I didn't really believe the reviews here, but yes, it covered everything up and made it look like new again! I also didn't need much effort which was an added bonus. And the smell... just like an antique furniture shop, might be a bit strong for some people but I love it.

I was a little unsure which balm to order, but went for the red top in the end and it was the right choice. My battered furniture is mostly medium tone pine and oak, but this darker balm has certainly lifted all of the pieces I have used it on so far. I realise that it cannot work miracles on bad scratches, but it is certainly the best treatment I have tried so far and has made a tremendous difference. Very rewarding to use as you can see results and I will certainly be buying more when this bottle is empty.

Does exactly what it says on the bottle! Really impressed, all wood naturally enhanced minus water marks and general marks. Would recommend.

Wasn't sure whether my table was dark or light wood by their definition and had to google their own website for more guidance, which says the green cap is an all-rounder for all types of wood so to try that first - I did and it got ring marks out of a teak table really well, and significantly diminished the appearance of a deep scratch, and got rid completely of a dry and sun-faded patch too. Very pleased with it, and it smells good too so you know you've actually been doing housework!

Brilliant Furnisher Reviver”
I have a house full of old pine which was beginning to look quite shabby so thought I'd give Balms a try. I couldn't believe the difference it made. The wood looked very healthy, all water stains were removed and colour now evened out and so easy to use. Like another reviewer, once started I couldn't stop and had to do every piece of furniture in the house which incidentally didn't take long - unlike many pine cleaning products I've tried over the years.

Bald's Furniture Balm”
I purchased this product last year used it on several pieces of furniture and really did not see any difference other than slightly removing a water mark. I have recently used it on an oak bureau where the wood had faded and it certainly has not made any difference in fact it has made the wood look very dull.

Bald's Furniture Balm”
Completely revived my old tired looking pine kitchen units. So easy to use and the end result was excellent. Won't have to replace/re-varnish after all!! Highly recommended.

What shall I polish next...”
Well, I've just about polished everything in sight - I used the light balm on a very old and mistreated dresser base - it was complete with crayon/felt tip drawings, cat scratches, chips, dents and water stains. All in all it's gone a bit beyond 'shabby chic' now. I gave it a good clean (used the magic sponge thingeys) and then used the balm and wow! It looks amazing! Of course it can't get rid of the chips and dents but it's given the wood a whole new lease of life! Looks better than when I bought it! If only they made this for 40 year old faces!

Better than new!”
This magic liquid has worked wonders on my pine dressing table. Not only has it removed watermarks, it actually looks better than when I first bought it. The wood looks healthy, with a far better colour whereas previously it looked dried out and dull. Nothing short of a transformation!

wow.... what a find !”
by Mrs Ney
I had water marks on an expensive dining room table and had a quote from a french polisher to repair the table...however first of all I decided to try this liquid furniture balm. I am certainly glad I did as it saved me so much money in the long run. I have given the table two coats now of this balm and it really does work...it has removed the water marks and even some scratches it. I personally would recommend this as a first stop before you get in the experts to repair any damage. I used the light wood one although my table is a sort of medium colour and it matched it fine.

BALD'S ORIGINAL FURNITURE BALM”
This is a miracle worker - buy it! I had water marks on a kitchen table which after one go, completely disappeared. Also had old bedside lockers which now look like new. I was hesitant to buy this product as I felt it was expensive but it's worth every penny.

Dark really is dark (at first)”
by Claire Harper
I bought the dark polish for a oak window seat that had water rings on it. I was shocked at just how dark the polish made the wood look. However, the following morning the wood had lightened slightly and looked a lot better. The water rings were nearly all removed. As a test I tried this on a light pine box to see how dark it made it and was surprised how well it worked - it just brought the grain out - so I'm just going to use dark on all our wood now.

bought this for light furniture to bring up an old table we had inherited and to try and get out the rings left on the table and its wonderful. Not only did it take out the old rings and watermarks but the table now looks like new, people are asking where we bought it from!! I am now going to buy the one for dark wood to use it on a grandfather clock that needs some loving care i have high hopes now having seen what it can do for an old table! thanks again lakeland you've excelled yourself again.

I used this product on a pine desk which had bad water staining. I did not have huge expectations of it - but the stains completely vanished after two applications. That was three years ago and the desk still looks great. Five stars from me.

I tried the light balm as a last ditch attempt to save a set of 3 solid teak tables which had been placed next to a radiator and had dried out and looked dreadful. They are now back to their former glory with just one application and I am really pleased. I have never reviewed anything before but I felt this was sooooo good you should really give it a chance - it could save you the expense of buying new furniture.

I inherited a very cheap but sentimentally expensive piece of furniture from my grandmother. It was in a rather awful state but I could not justify the cost of professional restoration, therefore I thought I would try this balm (for dark wood). What a wonderful product. To say the piece is like new would be a lie but the improvement is amazing - the sheen is back, the patina stands out and the milkiness has gone. The piece now looks loved and looked after and receives compliments from all who visit.

Expensive Product with short term benefits”
I bought the balds for light woods for two reasons. I wanted something I could use on my untreated oak table to prevent it from drying, and I wanted a product that would remove a ring stain on the same table. I have used the balds furniture balm every month for the last year (as I was told it may take a few applications before I saw any benefit). Yes the table does look fantastic after each application but this effect is gone after 24 hours. Additionally the ring mark is still there, this has not even faded. I am going back to good old fashioned beeswax. Much cheaper and the same effect. This is basically an expensive furniture perfume!

A TRULY FANTASTIC PRODUCT WELL WORTH ITS COST.”
by Ms PALLEN
Thanks to a really wonderful customer service team, Bald's furniture balm (for dark wood) finally made its way to my house and I haven't stopped using it since. I cannot praise the product enough. We inherited a lot of wood furniture which had seen better days. However, since using the balm (I had to have a few goes on some very damaged pieces), the tired look of the furniture is finally gone and the house smells beautiful too! I cannot wait to buy Bald's balm for light wood and try it on the rest of our furniture. Thank you Lakeland.
