Disappointedby Gloria

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

We bought a set of these pans almost 2 years ago. I accept they are not overly expensive but I am really disappointed about the way the exteriors have scuffed and the way the teflon coating is peeling away. The frying pans are definitely superior to the pans and seem to be wearing well (and they get a fair bit of use). The pans are now badly worn even though they only get moderate use. We have an open plan kitchen-dining area and I had bought these to look good when on display to guests. Sadly I'm going to have to replace them quite soon ... an expenditure I hadn't anticipated so soon.

Pleased but with reservationsby Angela Barratt

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I am generally pleased with these pans, especially their non-stick qualities. Food cooks nice and evenly and even scrambled egg and porridge are easy to clean off with no need for scouring. However, I am concerned that the bases of two pans are starting to go rusty after only two years. Also the pans are very heavy and the smooth handles mean the larger sizes are difficult to handle.

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. I'm sorry that the base of the pans is going rusty. As these pans are constructed of Aluminium, they should not rust. I'll be in touch shortly to help.

Non stick that sticksby Sheila Topham

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I bought the milk pan shortly after these were launched and it is the only non-stick pan I have ever owned that has lasted more than a year. The coating is starting to go but I have definitely had my money's worth. The other pans I have from this range get daily use, cook beautifully and clean up easily. Can't really ask much more from a pan.

Are they really dishwasher safe?by Carol

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I was really impressed by these pans (I have 4, which I use daily) - nice weight, excellent heat distribution. However, after a couple of months use, the outer surface (the matt sides of the pans) are looking scratched and sort of dusty. I really look after them as they were a bit of an investment at these prices but I was fed up of cheaper pans (from elsewhere!) lasting a couple of years and then only fit for the bin. I wanted a set to stand the test of time so treat them as per the instructions - can only think it is dishwasher damage. Can customer services confirm?

Brilliant non-stick but...by Elizabeth

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

The non-stick finish on this range is really good. The pans barely need more than a rinse after use. But I do find the handle of the saucepan annoying as it rotates in my hand when I am pouring out from it. If the handle was either thicker or had a non-slip surface it would be much better, and I would probably give it 5 stars.

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I bought the saucepans with the free milk pan. They are all very strong and still look as good as when I bought them (a few months ago). They are heavy compared to stainless steel pans, but are average weight for hard anodised. The non stick is completely intact and looks set to remain so for many years. I am very happy with my pans and would recommend them to a friend.

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

Although I am generally pleased with the new saucepans, I do find that the handles get very hot and also find it difficult to strain the contents as its not easy to tilt the saucepans as the handle slides in my hand, especially as I have to use kitchen gloves to prevent me burning myself.

fantastic little pan!!by Mrs Maureen Carter

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I recently purchased the milk pan and find it very useful. I only like to cook small portions at any one time and this little pan is ideal for just that not only milk. One comment, could you please organise a lid to go with it, perhaps as an extra purchase.

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I am really pleased with my purchase, like other customers I think it would be a good idea to heat proof the handles, I did get one quite nasty burn (but it was my own fault!). The pans are used daily and I did buy the pan protectors so this has probably helped to keep them looking good.

I recently bought the milk pan and have been delighted with it. Easily washed with just the dish cloth. I use it regularly too.

Best non stick Ive ever hadby Julie Bennett

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I love scrambled egg but found that every non stick pan I had was either ruined very quickly because the kids would use metal forks or spoons on them or they would just not last well enough and would peel.... THEN I bought the small milk pan from this set and I have been extremely pleased with it. It cleans well- washing out dried scrambled egg very easily. It has lasted very well. If I needed to replace any other pans I would definitely buy the rest of this set.

Have had the pans for two or three months now and still look like new. Admittedly they haven't been used as much as I would like due to work commitments but they wash up superbly well and personally I think they are great. As with all the other Lakeland products I have bought.

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I bought the larger size casserole pot (G) and have not used it as often as I would have liked to, I have noticed that it is peeling from inside. so have had to stop cooking in it. It's a real shame because I really like the pot and was thinking of ordering the saute pan. Very disappointed with this product. However Lakeland do some really nice products and the service is really good. thank you.............

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I have been using one of these pans for quite a while now and wouldnt be without it. I love it. I always use metal utensils and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. There are no scratches anywhere. It is also very easy to clean, and usually only needs a light rinse in soapy water.

Published 03 07 2010

A note from the team: Thank you for taking the time to write your review we're always pleased to receive feedback. Even though the non stick coating of the pans has not been marked, we wouldn't recommend the use of metal utensils.

Disappointing handles!by Belinda Skilton

Lakeland Hard Anodised Pans

I looked around for a long time to find exactly what I wanted, and these saucepans seemed to fit the bill. They cook really well but, unfortunately, I have found it almost impossible to tip them to strain vegetables because they are very heavy and because the handles are slippery metal with no grip. Could you add a silicone grip to the handles or re-design them? Also, the lid handles get very hot and would benefit from a silicone grip.

A note from the team: Thank you for your review - I'm sorry you've had such difficulties with the saucepans. I'll pass your valuable comments onto our buying team for consideration. We'll be in touch shortly to put things right for you.
