Wish I'd bought the standard and not for meby Janice

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

Like other reviewers, I found roasted veggies disappointing compared to doing them in the oven in cast iron. The most successful thing was the spinach pie from the cook book, but it was too big for two. Likewise I didn't feel able to try the cakes and so on. I burnt my counter when I put the lid down without realising how hot it was. I wish the baby one was still available then I would try again. It has, however gone to a good home. An experienced remoska lover who will make proper use of it. I feel a bit like I've re-homed a Great Dane that I couldn't cope with!

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

Have had my Grand Remoska for a few years and it was well used, but it started tripping the electrics in April. I rang Lakeland to see if I could buy a new lid but they said to box the old one up (now collected) and they would send a complete new Remoska. Gobsmaked ! I have now received my new one. It was only today I read the reviews and the tripping appears to be a common fault. My old lid rattled but the new one doesn't so maybe that was the problem. I did not realise how much I used it until these last two weeks without one, waiting for the post. Thanks Lakeland.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

I cannot speak highly enough of the kindness and courtesy I have received from Lakeland staff. After a few initial problems, I now have a Remoska Grand and I absolutely love it. As a result of seeing my Remoska in action, two of my friends have bought one. I'm sure they will be delighted too. I have absolutely NO hesitation in pointing friends in the direction of Lakeland because I know they are a great company. Once again, thankyou so much.

We have had our original Remoska for a couple of years and were delighted with it until it started tripping off the electrics. Lakeland were quick to offer help and we are now happily cooking Remoska meals again.

I think the grand Remoska is a really great asset in the kitchen. In fact I have 2 now. I roast chicken, lamb, I do roast vegetables potatoes, in fact anything that goes in the oven will cook in here. Everything comes out great, the kids bought the first one as a present and I wasn't sure if I would use it a lot, but I am always using one or both. Delighted with them.

I have the Grand Ramoska and have had very good use from it. It does perfect jacket potatoes and wonderful casseroles. However it developed a fault and after contacting Lakeland it was replaced with no quibble. I cannot praise the product or the customer service department enough.

Brilliant Giftby Kathleen

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

Brilliant Christmas gift from my daughters. Fancied one for over twelve months and I'm not disappointed. Moist, perfectly risen sponges, succulent chicken, stews, jacket/roast spuds .... I love it. We have an energy monitor which makes it easy to see what you are saving; 650 watts is a lot less than our fan oven or the more economical conventional oven, and surprisingly you don't have to wait for it to come up to temperature even for a sponge cake. Makes sense really - even a small oven uses a lot of wasted energy if you only want to cook a cake or pizza. I'm a convert.

Early days, but initially disappointedby Mrs Gardner

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

This was recommended to me and I was very excited when it arrived. However the excitement changed to disappointment, the roast potatoes are never crispy. As stated previously sausages fall through the rack. I bought the Grand size and it only takes a small chicken and a few potatoes. Just finished making a casserole and on reading the instructions I have to make sure it doesn't get dry, whch means I have to keep checking it!!!! Wish I hadn't given my slow cooker away when this arrived! I will carry on using it in the hope that I become happier. Also wish I had read all 69 reviews first.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

This is a brilliant cooker. When cooking a stew, the ingredients retain their individual flavours, unlike a slow pot where each mouthful tastes the same The Potatoes do not go mushy, they remain whole but soft. I have cooked scones, lovely and light. I used the Nigella Lawson basic scone recipe, I did add a bit more flour though. The gammon joint was so moist as was the whole medium chicken. I am just cooked some spiced long grain rice with some left over gammon, I have no doubt it will produice the same fabulous results. My oven has not been used for two weeks.

Disappointingby Mary

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

I thought long and hard before buying the Remoska Grande, as together with the cookery book, rack and pan separator it was quite an expense. I read all the reviews, the majority of which gave a 5 star rating and most users were very enthusiastic about the Remoska, so I went ahead and purchased one. However, on using it for the second time the fuses in the house blew and did so every time the Remoska was switched on. I returned it today for a full refund. Although I can only give the Remoska one star, I'd give Lakeland customer service five stars, there was no quibbling about a refund.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

I have now had my Remoska for nearly ten months. The only time I use my oven is when we have all the family over. I am more than pleased that I bought the grand remoska because I can put my pyrex containers for stews. I bought the rack which is great for pizzas and cakes. Roasts are great and I place chicken potatos and veg in the remoska. If I am going out it is placed on a timer and is used most days. Went on holiday with us this year. I had a replacement handle which Lakeland were brilliant at changing when I first had the remoska, but no problems since and is worth every penny.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

Why, oh why did I wait 2 years to buy a grand Remoska? I studied the reviews endless times and now I think its the best thing I have in my kitchen. Cakes, Quiche, flap jack and roasts to name but a few all great successes-minimal washing up and a lot cheaper to use than the big oven.

I ordered this item on Wednesday 18th April @ 3.20pm on the internet,lo and behold item arrived Thursday about 11.30am,now that is excellent service and also delivery was free. Regarding the grand remoska I know it will be a brilliant item,as I have had a similar item already for the past 2.1/2 years (not purchased from lakeland) and that one has also been excellent, and I have still got it,and working fine. Lastly already in the remoska I have cooked chicken breasts, with roast potatoes, one beef joint in roasting bag, with veg,and an Apple and Lemon sponge pudding. All cooked perfectly.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

When my oven died a friend highly recommended her Grand Remoska. At first I was slightly sceptical as we are a family of 5 and I bake quite regularly. However I have found it to be so good I've not gone back to an ordinary oven - everything cooked in it tastes wonderful and it is so easy to use; I make quite adequate quantities of food for our family too. And it comes with a genuine lifetime guarantee, so I know I will never need to go back again. Thank you Lakeland!

An essential part of my kitchenby Joanna

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

As a Grand Remoska owner of 8 years or so, I would find it difficult to do without. I use it at least 3 times a week for roasts, sausages, layered veg dishes etc. I also have a standard Remoska in the campervan. Saves lots of washing up. The only disappointment is that the non stick coating on the lid and around the rims of the pans is wearing away very quickly and for this reason I'll give it 4 stars instead of 5.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

I had to return my first Remoska after 6 weeks due to an electrical fault. Eventually I bought another as I had found it useful. I have had this one for a year and a bit and although it has been very useful I'm not at all happy because the plastic switch has fallen apart, the non-stick coating on the lid is disintegrating and the top side of the lid is covered in what looks like rust spots, even though I clean and dry it thoroughly each time. £129 is a lot of money for a non-stick pan with a lid containing a heating element, so I would expect top quality.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

i purchased the remoska grand as it had been recommended to me for my caravan,i was so excited to use it and put my caravan table in the awning and put my remoska on its stand and cooked a sausage caserole for our tea,the only problem was the stand that the remoska stands on must have retained the heat from the pot and it burnt my caravan table with the feet of the stand,so i recommend putting it on a heat protector as well, i didn't expect the stand to get red hot as well.now i have to replace my caravan table, also dont put it under a cupboard as the steam rises and can warp your cupboard.

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. The Remoska will get extremely hot during use and some of this heat may transfer to the pan stand.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

I bought a Remoska cooker in August after being undecided for a few months before, I didn't want another 'gadget' clogging up my cupboard. I am so glad I did. Apart from the saving I MUST be making on electricity (I've hardly had our main oven on since I bought my Remoska) I find it amazingly easy to use, and it is so easy to clean. I have used it for loads of things - baked potatoes are wonderful, casseroles, lovely tender chops, and I'm going to try Toad in the Hole. A tip for roast potatoes - sprinkle them with a little bit of flour (par-boil first for 5 mins) after putting them in the oil - they will be crispy and a wonderful colour. Thanks Lakeland!

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker

Purchased my Grand Remoska after a recommendation from a friend and never believed I would use it so much. My original intention was to use it to save heating up the oven for small items ie: a couple of jacket potatoes, chicken legs/thighs etc. However, it is now used on an almost daily basis and it is my main oven that I use on rare occasions. I cannot understand how it works, but it does, some things cook better than others and some things take a bit longer than in the conventional oven but it is worth it considering the savings in the running cost. It is also worth buying the cookbook as there are some wonderful recipes. You do have to be careful when removing the lid as it is a bit awkward to handle when extremely hot, and I have also found the lid does get stained and marked easily, but the pans are so easy to clean which is a bonus. I have now had my Remoska for 18 months and would hate to be without it. Thank you Lakeland for another fantastic product.
