very useful kitchen item”
This is the best peeler I have ever used. It's lovely to hold and can peel tough skins very easily. I will buy another soon!

Simply the best!”
I had two of these (my daughter shares the kitchen with me, so we're often peeling things at the same time!) but one of them has gone AWOL, probably into the rubbish by mistake. So I'm having to get another one. I know that some people don't get on with this peeler and sometimes 'peel' their nails, but the secret is to peel the bottom half of the potato/carrot/etc then turn it over and peel the new bottom half, thus avoiding getting anywhere near the nails.

it is sharp, peels very easy and love the handle. I have MS, so I'm always on the outlook for things that will make my life easier and this peeler did the job for me. :-)

I bought one years ago and it's still in fantastic condition - I'm amazed at how cheap it is. The blade doesn't seem to have dulled and it hasn't rusted. It's incredibly comfortable to hold and compared to other styles of peelers, it leaves my fingers and fingernails relatively free from being sliced! The additional "eye" remover is a great little touch that is very useful to have.

I bought this years ago and it is still as sharp as ever. The soft grip has not weakened at all. Would buy again if I had to!

This peeler is comfortable, sharp and very easy to use, much like the Good Grips potato peeler, albeit using a different technique. The blade protector is a good idea and it goes through the dishwasher like a dream.

Excellent Comfortable to use”
by Anne Marie
Sharp. Easy to grasp. No pressure required during use making preparation of veg. easy. Very happy with this product. Have used a few cheaper ones successfully but they haven't lasted as long. This has a stronger handle. Definitely recommend.

Love this. It handles everything from softer skinned cucumbers to the harder to peel turnip and sweet potato with ease. So simple to use and can be popped in the Dishwasher. I like the fact that it comes with a little clip on plastic cover for the blade so, when it is not being used, the peeler sits safely along side my other little kitchen gadgets in the drawer. I recommend this without hesitation.

Sharp blade, light, comfortable to hold, copes well with a variety of skins and good value for money. Had the last one (from Lakeland) over 10 years ago, so I know I will have many years of service from this one. Highly recommend it.

OK but not the best”
I recently tried four different peelers all available from Lakeland. This was the most expensive but was not the best. This tool removes a very thin layer from the vegetable which is obviously healthier & more economical but I had to go over the veg several times to remove all the skin which is tedious as I need it for soup making. Poor performance with celery. The £1.99 peeler does a much better job although not so robust and may not last so long.

Wouldn't be without it!”
The best peeler ever! I have arthritis in my hands and I can still peel my vegetables quickly and with ease. I always have two now as I accidentally threw one away and was unable to use any other.

Forget the rest”

This little peeler is brilliant. Peels the toughest marrow, swede, butternut squash, etc. with ease. My husband was a devotee of the old traditional Lancashire peeler, but has been converted! We also have a second one now, which we keep for cheese. But do make sure you replace the guard when putting it away - it's VERY sharp.

An excellent peeler, especially for anyone with arthritic fingers or poor grip. But it is sharp so watch you don't peel your fingernails!

I bought a cheap version of this last year and it rusted. This has been fine and is really sharp and easy to use.

Just the Job for Budding Chefs”
by Mrs M Le Breton
I bought this for my young son to use & he loves it. He finds it very easy to hold & the blades are sharp enough that he doesn't have to apply too much pressure. I love it as it's really speeded him up in the veggie preparation department.

I have never been able to use a Y or U peeler in my life and have been using a Lancashire one for 35 years. Having tried and failed to get other Y and U peelers to work, I am delighted to say that the OXO Good Grips one is superb. At my first attempt, I managed to peel tonight's potatoes in half the time. Am thrilled!

I love this type of peeler and this is the best of its kind that I have had. Really sharp and quick and also comfortable to hold.

Brilliant little thing!”
I have had mine for a good few years now and it must've peeled many many pounds of veg. I am ordering a new one and recommending it to a friend too! You will not regret spending your cash on this - ever!
