"Not as expected!"
01 July 2016
I bought this fly screen to replace one we had had for many years. Despite being adept at odd jobs my husband found it difficult to assemble and install. One of the problems may be that we have a 10cm cill and it was difficult to measure the correct length of the screen. Frequent adjustment of the strips is necessary as we tend to get entangled in the them and the weights when going in and out. It is reasonably effective at repelling flies. The dog (a Jack Russell) hates it, the weights are a bit big and heavy for her. Sorry, Lakeland, not impressed this time.
A note from the team
Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry you've been disappointed with this screen and we'll be back in touch shortly to help further. It's important to ensure the mesh is correctly placed and that the bottom of the weights do not touch the floor/door frame when hung, even slightly.by making sure the mesh is positioned between the inner side of the weight parts,so that the bottom edging of the mesh is level with the faint line before pushing the weight parts together - this ensured the rubber studs fitted better and locked the mesh curtain in place well and held.
