I am very disappointed with this product, it was terribly difficult to set up, even with two people it took for ever to get the lengths all the same. The bottom bits keep falling off, I have used nearly a whole roll of double sided tape fixing them back on and now, having already replaced one of the sections (we only used 3 for our door width) another has now torn at the top. It is only fit for the bin to be honest. Not worth the money.

I bought this item from a Lakeland shop quite a few weeks ago. The assembly was tricky but we managed it. We are using the curtain on a door from our conservatory into the kitchen. However, ever since we hung the curtain the plastic end pieces are constantly falling off. I have even tried sewing and tying them on to no avail. So now it is hanging there with no plastic ends and we still have flies in the house. I bought this item from Lakeland because their products are usually good quality. I expected this to be the same considering the price. I would not recommend this.

Musty smelling fly screen”
I first ordered screens 4/5yrs ago well used, decided to buy new ones to go across patio doors, 1st order sent back because of musty smell ordered another one exactly the same smell. I ordered two as door is wide, never had this problem with the previous ones. Did hang the first lot but the smell went through the down stairs it really is quite strong. If there was a rating of no stars that would be my rating.

The screen was, indeed, very easy to install and gives good protection. The weights on the bottom, however, keep falling off. We do have a dog and every time he goes out one of them starts to come off. This spoils an otherwise excellent product.

Having read the reviews I decided that I would give this screen a try as everyone has their own opinion. However, sadly, I now agree with the majority of customers who also found this screen tricky to install, (lots of patience required not to mention skill) but also that the weights do fall off continuously, once they go once that is it you are forever putting them back on until there is nothing to attach it to as they material has frayed. In my opinion this product is highly over priced for what it is I have contacted Lakeland and will be returning, lesson learnt.

Up with the new and up with the old!”
I treated myself to a new fly screen this year but also recycled my old one. My son has an old caravan and the old fly screen cut down to size is perfect fitted to the inside of the doorframe. Fly free zone mark 2!

Not quite as I expected”
I am a little disappointed with this as I personally found it quite difficult to fit and so I paid a maintenance guy to fit it. Also I do find as you go in and out you have to keep straightening up the flaps which I didn't think I would have to do as I thought the weights would do this.

Very disappointed. Not only fiddly to hang, but the plastic rod holding it up melted on a hot day and no longer held the nets in place. Will be taking back for a refund.

Waste of money”
by Mrs Roberts
I had high hopes for this but found it very disappointing. First it took my husband 1.5 hours to put up so the description 'easy assembly' fails to mention the long DIY session required. Now that it's up though the weights at the bottom keep falling off the panels. We keep putting them back on but they fall off every other day. To top it all now the panels themselves are falling off so we've only got half of the panels left. Not impressed at all. A very expensive product that doesn't live up to expectations. I'd give it a zero star rating if I could!

Flyscreen curtain assembly”
We have had a previous version of this product and have found it excellent. The panels started to tear and so we bought a new one. The new version has a different track and carrier. The main problem with the new model is if the track is face-fitted the screw heads bind on the carrier and prevent it from seating. It is necessary to countersink the screw heads which is not easy and requires good DIY skills. The carrier rail for the panels is a better design in that the two sections lock together and no sticky tape is needed but very difficult to separate if you need to adjust the hanging.

great product. sorry to hear you are no longer stocking it.Yes the instructions are a little complicated, and its a bit fiddlely to fit. We too needed a bit of glue(two lively dogs). The test was when another exterior door had to be left open. the house was full of flies.this screen stops flies. I would recommend it to every one.

Very difficult to fit”
by Mrs Gleave
The screen appears well constructed, however the screws supplied with the carrier rail sit too proud of the rail to permit the curtain holding rail to slot in. This renders the curtain pretty useless. The screws supplied are round-head, they should be flat-head, which would make them sit more flush with the back of the carrier rail. The instructions state that if you wish you could countersink the screws; if you countersink the screws provided, you would be left with virtually nothing of the carrier rail to screw into, so this is not a helpful option. Not a great experience.

We originally had a flyscreen that we purchased at a garden show and after 5 years faithful service we needed a new one. This one is just as good and it really does keep out all wasps/flies/bees and very offensive gnats! We are able to get in and out without any trouble and with our first screen our daughter was only 2 and had no trouble either. Have only had a couple of occassions when we have trodden on a weight accidentally and it was easily fixed and stayed in place. Take down in winter and put back in Spring. Now ordering one for my mum-in-law!

Bought this item which had broken brackets so had to be returned. The new one was better although fiddly to put together. Once Up was really good... Until the weather changed, and it melted in the heat of the conservtory causing the pole at the top to warp and the nets dropped to a different length. Now the bottom fixings hit the door in the wind. Disappointing quality for the money.

NOT easy to fit flyscreen curtain”
I am very disappointed with this purchase from Lakeland; the first time in many years of shopping with you that I have said this. I had to enlist the help of a handy friend to install this & even he found it awkward to assemble & install. I fact if you have arthritis in your hands as I have, you will need someone to help. Now it is up it still flaps around in the wind, even with the rather ugly weights on the bottom & in fact I have just had a rather large bee in my conservatory today, so it's not really working as it should. Not money well spent in my view

Good idea in theory not in practice”
by Lisa Childs
I brought this fly door screen as I have tried everything else I found the traditional fly screens noisy and when wind blows did not work efficiently. However this product is fab does not move in wind and falls back into place once you walk through. One BIG downfall with this product is if you have dogs as they pass through the door the weights come off and the more the weights come off the material starts to fray!!!

This is a little tricky to put together. Getting it stuck so that it hangs straight is a challenge. I used a small hacksaw to cut it to the right width. I have successfully screwed it onto the outside of our PVC conservatory door, and it has lasted three years to date, with no signs of distress (I do take it down in the winter months, but leave it out in all weathers in the summer). It has the added advantage of keeping the neighbour's cats out as well as the flys, bees, wasps and even moths on a summers evening. It is also easy to push through, even when carrying a cuppa.

this one has not lived up to expectations.”
by Mrs mcdade
I purchased this flyscreen on 25.7.2011. This is the first purchase made by me from Lakeland and I am very disappointed with this item. The bottom of the fly screen is constantly coming loose and does not keep out flies. I have a dog and this does attract flies, wasps etc. It seems to be a very bad design and one I am far from happy with. I have kept my receipt. I purchased this item in Chelmsford.
