This is absolutely beautiful. And I am very pleased that it is made in Scotland. Very pleased with quality, presentation, and beauty - the nut oil it's been treated with accentuates the surface, beautiful.

“Lovely wedding present
”

I bought this as a wedding present for my nephew in Australia and it is lovely. The box makes it even more special. I had seen a similar product in another shop but this is much better. Also being made in Scotland is a nice touch for a present being taken overseas.

“slate cheese board
”

Ordered and received two beautifully boxed slate cheese- boards. Thrilled with product. So many uses - already served platters of fresh fruit on them and a selection of antipasto. No brown marks on mine.

“Looks very smart

We bought this to serve cheese to guests when we had dinners or small parties. It looks very smart and impressive. We also finished the look off by buying the cutters to go with it - they are beautiful too. Well worth buying both items. We sometimes use chalk to write on the names of the cheeses we are serving - very professional! I must make a comment regarding another reviewers reference to 'brown marks'. Slate is a natural product and the amount of minerals in it give each piece it's unique appearance. That's all the 'marks' are. If you do not like the look of them, may I suggest you do not buy slate! Our board has these golden hues shot through it and when you oil your board (as you should) with olive oil, it brings them out and simply adds to it's amazing appearance.

“Beautifully presented

I bought this for my cheese loving sister as a present. It is beautifully presented in a box, and wrapped up inside. I'm sure she will be thrilled. I'm tempted to buy one for myself. No marks on the one I bought.

“Beautifully presented, but ...

This is a beautifully crafted product, and arrived very nicely presented - it woudl make an ideal gift. . Because it is a natural product, I expected there to be some markings in the slate, but not the fairly large brown patches. These did slightly spoil what was otherwise a lovely product.
