I first encountered Klippits when they were given away in packets of cereals - probably 30 or more years ago. Since I discovered Lakeland sold them, I have bought many more, finding them indispensable in (and out of) the kitchen. Other brands of similar clips have a limited life, but Klippits don't break. When one of my small ones DID break this morning, I was surprised, and looked at it carefully to see if it was the genuine article. It was - it had "Bran Flakes" printed on the side! Not a bad innings!

These are fabulous. Last such a long time. Don't be fooled into buying the cheap lookalikes- my husband did and they were not as strong and didn't last long. Just bought a second load of these as soooo good.

So simple, utterly indespensible”
OMG, what a simple idea. And they have a million and one uses. Keep open cereal or crisps fresh, reseal bags of frozen veg so they don't spill in the freezer... You name it. And they are tough and last for ever!

klippets with lace”
by Mrs Harvey
I thought I would share this with you. I don't use the klippets in the kitchen, instead, I find them ideal for keeping my lace bobbins in order when making bobbin lace! Just a thought!

Wonderful product. Have tried similar clips from supermarkets but none as good as these. I have used them in freezer, fridge and for various other stuff in cabinets. They work equally well everywhere and none broken so far. Customer service at Lakeland is just fantastic. I have recently discovered Lakeland and amazed at their customer care. needed to return some other product, spoke to a lovely lady. They make your on-line shopping a pleasure without any worry.

stop things going stale!”
When I got these my Mum said, 'they're just a gimmick', but I have discovered they are not! Anyone who has ricecakes will know how quickly they go stale, within days, even if kept in a plastic bag or container. I opened my current pack of ricecakes 2 months ago ( I don't eat them that much!) sealed it with a klippit and it is only just beginning to be less crunchy. That has got to be the ultimate test for this procuct. Excellent, thank you Lakeland.

I agree with the others who find Klippits both invaluable and reliable, and I'm ordering more. But what's happened to the small Klippits? I need more of those, too.

A note from the team: Thanks for your review. The small Klippits are sold in the mixed bag of Klippits, reference 2894.
Couldn't do without them”
An essential in our house, used anywhere where bits need to be kept together, from opened bags of frozen peas, dried fruit, to jigsaw pieces, to bits of patchwork fabric, just pop it in a plastic bag and Klip. Brilliant product.

It's true, they are the best. Mine have been going for years in and out of the freezer and in constant use. I have used others which have not lasted a week or two without the bending joint snapping, or if neck of bag is too bulky others have broken, but not Lakelands Klippits, they have never let me down.(and I am not on commission).

Klippits are great products-a great help as I try very hard to reduce waste and these stop things going stale (e.g. cereals) or leaking (e.g. frozen peas). However as I opened a pack I bought yesterday I realised that the packaging was not recyclable. It consists of a fairly rigid plastic container with a cardboard insert. The plastic has a recycling symbol (but no number) and I am not aware of any facility that recycles this type of plastic. Surely a recyclable polythene bag with a cardboard insert would have done the job just as well?

A note from the team: Thanks for your review, weve passed your feedback about the packaging on to our buying team. Please note that the recycling number for this material is 3 and the packaging is made from PVC. Thankyou for your valuable comments.
They Do The Job!”
by Miss Dunnett
They seem to do the job! Only thing is, the 'hinge' seems to be wearing on a few of my klippits. Having said that, none of them have snapped.

These are so useful that I have given some to all my family and friends. They are all converts and now buy their own! I think they are just wonderful!

Also useful for ..”
As well as being useful for the purpose of keeping food in packages securely it doubles up as a great way of making chord straps shorter (eg: apron chords around the neck of small people so that the apron fits nicely).

Brilliant in their simplicity”
Have a constant supply of these in my utensils drawer and they are fantastic for sealing just about anything quickly and tidily. Like the bright colours and the different sizes are great for varying bag sizes. Only word of caution is that you may need bigger ones than you imagine; for example I leave nuts in the plastic bags I buy them in and use these as a sealer - by the time the plastic is gathered a small klippit wouldn't cope. But if you're transferring into food bags no problems. Best of all - they're simple enough for my other half to bother using, unlike normal food ties!
