Disappointing this time....”
by Mrs Chris Rose
I have used Grip a Rug before so didn't hesitate to buy more when we bought new hall carpets. However as with previous reviewers it just did not work. We taped down our previous runner on top of the new carpet and it has moved constantly - the tape rolling up and leaving both surfaces. The new carpet is wool and it just does not seem to work with this kind of carpet. Disappointing as I bought two rolls. Hey ho.....

Tried this tape on the back of a new 6' x 3' rug, on top of a new carpet, but the rug still moves! If I lift he rug to reposition it, the tape stays stuck to the carpet underneath!

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry that the tape is sticking to the carpet but not the underside of the rug. We'll be in touch shortly.
Easy to apply (applied to a rug) however within 24 hours the rug had moved, but the tape was left on the carpet. I have since removed this from the rug.

Grip a rug”
by Mr Williams
Most disappointing. Did not work at all. Did not even stick to the back of the runner which we have in our hallway, decided to give Lakeland the benefit of the doubt when we read adverse comments. Wrong!,,,

The best yet”
I have short pile carpeting in my kitchen and found that my rugs moved on it at an alarming rate. I tried everything possible for several months until I tried the Grip-a-Rug, as a last resort and despite the negative reviews. This is the ONLY product that has worked and my rugs remain firmly in place. I will probably have to renew the tape after I wash the rugs but it's a price well worth paying for eliminating the daily headache of repositioning rugs.

Not grip a rug”
by Mrs Dobson
Unfortunately the mats are still moving with this product so would not recommend its use. I have to say though this is the only product ever purchased from Lakeland I have not been happy with.

I bought this really hoping it would work and have always been happy with Lakeland products but very sorry to say it was hopeless. I wanted it for a rug on a fitted carpet, I was left with the sticky tape in a square on the carpet almost straight away. Don't waste your money on this really disappointing.

I'm sorry to say I have found this product totally useless! I needed something to stop a rug 'creeping' across a fitted carpet and hoped this would do the job, as specified in the description. But the tape just refused to stick to the back of the rug (it stuck on everything else; hands, skirt, furniture etc!) but simply fell off the rug every time I tried to lay it on the floor! It may well work on hard floors, if you stick it to the floor rather than the rug but it has not solved my 'creeping' problem at all. Not worth including in the Lakeland catalogue in my opinion.
