Beauty over substance and too wide”
I iron whilst sitting on my sofa and there are not many boards that can go as low as this one. I do not like the cable holder because it is narrow and squashes the cable making it impossible to pull and retract. The fabric cover is too rough; clothes stick to it hindering the ironing process. The iron cable itself sticks to it forcing you to rearrange it all the time. Finally the surface is too wide for comfort and the board is heavy. It should be fine for an able bodied person though, especially if you use a more slick cover!

A note from the team: Thanks for your feedback and taking the time to contact our customer services team. I'm sorry that the board hadn't been suitable, I'm glad our customer services team were able to put things right for you.
In Bloom Ironing Board”
The cover is very thin - I can feel the mesh through the item I am ironing. It would be useful to say on the website how thick the cover is, as other websites do - I had hoped a Lakeland board would be better than others (1st purchase from Lakeland). I do not use the hanger (and have banged my head with this when folding away!) and I found the flex holder a hindrance. The money spent on these would have better spent on a thicker cover. There are scrapes on the side of the iron rest after 2 weeks. Going to buy additional cover as not ironing clothes properly on this thin one.

A note from the team: We're sorry to hear you've been disappointed with the thickness of the cover. Our Easy Iron Pad should help to give you the cushioned effect you are looking for.
