Fit for purpose”
This product is designed for use in a SHOWER as it states on the packaging and it does the job brilliantly. You just need to remove the existing drain hole cover and it drops into the slight recess, which keeps it in place. a huge improvement on others that I have tried. Hair is easy to dislodge and remove. Thank you, Lakeland!

Solved a bathroom issue”
Our shower is over the bath and the positioning of the plughole meant that we would often accidentally step on the plug so that the bath would begin to fill. This has allowed us to remove the plug without allowing hair and debris down into the pipe work. It is good quality and much nicer to look at than a plastic alternative.

Am using this product in the kitchen sink and it works brilliantly - does exactly what the description says and you lift it up to discard the bits collected in the bin and it is completely clear underneath which was not the case with other makes.

I bought this to replace an old plastic one in the shower cubicle. Unfortunately, it does not stop the hair from going down the plug hole at all and I have also had to revert to using the old one.

Excellent Oxo Good Grips Plug Guard”
by Mrs Margaret Orrell
This works perfectly and I no longer need to pour strong chemicals down the plughole to clear hair!

Doesn't fit over my pop up plug”
Disappointed in this item. It looks sturdy and like it would perform well, but it doesn't fit over my pop up plughole in the bath. I'm going to have to return it.

It's the best plug guard!”
Very pleased with the plug guard. It is large enough to catch all debris. It stays put in the sink and it very robust. It is far superior to previous plug guards I have had and is very well made. I would certainly recommend it.

Not as good as cheaper versions”
I bought this because it looked smarter than the basic drain guard I'd had previously & I normally get good results with Good Grips products. Unfortunately, because it sits on top of the plughole, rather than in it, the guard only catches about 75% of hair, so you still have the lovely task of scooping out hair & unclogging the drain. I wouldn't recommend this product and will be getting a basic sink strainer instead.

The best one ever”
This is the best plug I have ever bought. With the other plastic ones, the water seems not to be able to flow away, which results in having water up to my ankles which I really do not like. This one allows the water to flow away without even noticing that there is a plug and the hairs can easily be taken away to remove in the toilet. If only I had this a couple of years ago, it would have solved lots of problems with hairs blocking my bath.

Brilliant Plug Guard”
This is outstandingly better than all the plug guards that I have bought over the years. It drains freely and quickly and catches any hair in the shower and does not move when there is water in the bowl of the shower or in the sink. All my other plug guards have been binned!

Not just for keeping hair out of the plughole”
This is a great quality item, and can go in the dishwasher, which is much more hygienic than the silicone versions Lakeland also sell as mould can be cleaned off it easily. I initially bought it to catch hair in the shower, which is makes a reasonable job of, though some slip under as the plug is quite near the wall and consequently the guard doesn't lie flat. However, I'm totally sold as it has saved many a ring and earring from going down the drain. This is an essential for people who don't take off their jewellery to shower.

I purchased the good grips plug guard for my shower and it just doesn't work it wouldn't stay over the plug hole so no hair was caught in it, I have gone back to my old one.

I was so fed up with my shower drain getting blocked, I thought I would try this product. When I first put it over the shower drain, it didn't seem to "stick" and I expected it to just float around like more flimsy ones I'd tried in the past - but in fact it has stayed firmly in place when the shower was running, while still being easy to remove for cleaning when necessary. No more blocked drain and shower tray full of soapy water. All this and it looks so smart too. So glad I decided to buy it.

I so wish I had the same experience of this that the positive reviewers had but sorry to say it didn't work for me at all. The hair just went under it and into the plughole, it would be better if you could press it in place so it would stay put. Mine is now in the cupboard along with other types which are also not really effective. Lakeland are still brilliant though!!

I bought this to replace my ancient plastic one which has split and started to let hairs though. I needn't have bothered, and I am now back to using said plastic one. It appeared to fit over the bath plug hole well enough but my jaw dropped when I saw all my long hair floating along the water and straight underneath the thing! I tried it for about five hairwashes - and now I've had to buy sink unblocker!

I had high hopes of this as I've tried many Oxo products before but it doesn't stay in place as stated...it just floats away. When I manage to hold it in place the debris builds up around the silicone rim. I've tried it every way possible and even cut off the silicone but I've had to discard it now. There is a design fault which needs addressing.

Just what I've been looking for!”
This is amazing! For years, I have had to put up with drain guards that cause my bathtub shower to flood, meaning I was often standing in water up to my ankles. My husband bought this one and it works great. I'm so happy!

This works well in both our showers, stays in place, and has kept the drains clear. An excellent product for those of us who have daughters with long hair...

Not just a pretty plug”
This product is very efficient at holding debris and has kept rust free. I have even put it in the dishwasher for a shine and it came out even more beautiful. you can use it curve down or up depending on your sink and it stays put due to the non-slip rim.

Woohoo, only had this for 2 days and it has changed my life. Truly. Every other strainer I've tried in my belfast sink has either floated up when water goes toward the plughole or is too small to fit properly over the whole. This is just great. There's a chance I'm using it upside down but it's the way it works for me. I shall be getting another to use in the shower as the Oxo one is also better looking than the plastic/rubbery one currently in there.
