Little but effective”
Great at keeping moisture out of a damp corner in my bedroom. Only small so don't expect them to work miracles but a good little gadget all the same.

This just works. The only thing wrong with my 10 year old KA was a damp (frosty) windscreen and now it just isn't any more. Worth every penny.

The first set of these I had didn't last long before the colour on the penguins ran leaving them pink all the time - making it impossible to tell when they were saturated. Lakeland's excellent customer service meant they were both replaced. On the replacements although there is no colour run off, the colour has faded making it difficult to determine if they are "full". Also they are not as effective as the humidifiers that use disposable absorbent crystals.

Great - but...”
As the other reviewers say it doesn't last long. But then that might not be the products fault. It's very likely that there's too much moisture for this handy dandy to cope with. I'm very pleased with Pingi.

does exactly what it should”
I bought 2 one for each of our cars. Despite us having 2 nearly new cars, during the super wet winters the windows do mist up overnight and in the car park at work. Sometimes when in a rush having to wait for the car heaters to clear the windscreen is a pain. I thought I would give the pingi's a go. We are NOT disappointed, the windscreens are never misted. I can just get in and go. I leave all my colleagues sat in their cars at the end of the day. A few are going to get their own. They work far better than expected. I pop them in the microwave about once every 2 weeks and am good to go again

Not as expected”
I have tried this thing in all rooms even those without any condensation problems and it turns pink immediately it is placed anywhere. I have tried to refresh it on a radiator (as suggested) and in the airing cupboard and it is pink again within a minute of moving it from the heat source. Now it is just an ornament. Would give it no stars if I could.

Excellent product for small spaces in mouldy rooms”
I'm a student living in a rented flat and a few weeks ago I found my shoes in my wardrobe covered with mould. I also had some mould growing on one of my walls, next to the wardrobe. I cleaned everything thoroughly but I wanted a product which would prevent the problem returning. I read the reviews and went to Lakeland and got a Pingi bag, a plastic moisture trap and the hanging moisture absorbers. Of the 3 products I found this one the most useful as it is satisfying to see it is working (it filled up within 3 days!), it's reusable and it also got rid of the stale smell. Definitely recommend.

Seems reasonably effective at absorbing moisture in my car, but the "patented indicator" has all but disappeared the very first time I have put it in the microwave to dry out which is clearly very disappointing, particularly as it is highlighted as one of the key features of the product. Not impressed.

Excellent product and unobtrusive”
We bought this for my seventeen year old daughter's little car (an old but loved little car, known as Dorothy!) Dorothy had developed a very bad almost mouldy smell which we initially blamed on our labrador. Well, within 4 days, having placed this product in Dorothy, she smelled OK and after a week - lovely again! After a week's use it turned pink but a 5 minute zap in the microwave and its straight back in the car. Giving a lift to friends is no longer embarrassing and she recommended that I write a review. 5 stars definitely !!!!!!

Great for the car!”
In the winter, the front and rear windscreens in my car are wet with condensation. As it is not in a hard case, it sits on the dashboard perfectly. I place two Pingis on the dashboard overnight. It does not eliminate all the condensation but it does make a difference and absorbs some of the moisture.

Great idea - but doesn't last long”
by Mrs Carr
This is a great little product, but the penquin has now faded that badly I can barely see it to see if it needs putting into the microwave. A firmer bottom to allow it to stand without propping it up against something would improve even better.
