holds back a heavy door”
by mary barreau
Very pleased with this- it may be small but it works perfectly on our heavy doors!

Well it looks attractive and it saves drilling the floor. Weighty enough to stop a heavy door if the door stop had a non-slip base. Mine just had a rubber base which slid around on the floor tiles so I had to place it on a non-slip mat (you know the sort of thing you buy to stop your phone sliding around in the car), but that did the trick.

expensive but worth it”
by Nicola D Sheehan
Needed a doorstep for the new bathroom. Didn't want to put one into the floor or into the tiled wall. Was looking at one that attached to the door architrave and then saw this. May seem expensive but a really easy, effective answer to my problem. Solid, heavy and great looking in the modern bathroom. Thanks Lakeland for an easy fix!

Where is the oak doorstop?”
I have this doorstop in polished aluminium, purple metallic and oak and they all perform wonderfully well. They are solid and broad enough to protect my walls from rogue doorhandles. I would love to buy more oak doorstops but can't seem to find these now. Have you discontinued them?

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry to say that the Oak door stop has been discontinued. We will pass on your comments to our buyers as a bring back request.
I need to keep the bathroom door open for my cats as their toilet is in there, and this stays put even during 'daft half-hour' when they catapult themselves about and bash into the doors and walls. An excellent quality product. I am buying another one to keep the kitchen door open.

This review is for an older version of this product
I bought two online and they were perfect, bought for the bedroom door and also the kitchen door. Keeps the door open and doesn't slide which is all good. Then I went in store and bought two more, one for another bedroom door and then for the lounge door but for some reason even though the doors in the flat are all the same the lounge door does not keep still, it slides with this door stop, which isn't good. Not sure whether it's because the floor is wooden laminate but the kitchen floor is lino and work fine there but not the lounge :(

Very good product. Yes its expensive but my 1 year old Bischon has chewed his way through a set of rubber door wedges and started on a wooden one. They also look more stylish than a giant packet of washing powder and a giant bottle of fabric conditioner (!!)!, which is what I've been using as a stop gap.

This is a good solid product and the only doorstop I've ever owned that my cat can't move and accidentally lock herself in the room.

Given this as a present, it has a wide range of practical uses for me other than just keeping a door open ! Its good for using as a weight on glued items or on those pesky heat adhesive patches that require a heavy item. Love the design. AAAA

WORTH THE MONEY”
by Kathy Gardiner
Initially thought this was over priced but I am thrilled with it! A stylish, contemporary, minimalist look. Looks excellent in my bathroom, a modern, white & stainless steel finished room. Not only does it look good it does the job, weighted but not cumbersome. The service & quality from Lakeland as always.

It definitely does the job. You can feel the weight whilst in your hands. However I do agree it is very dear.

Best possible Door Stop”
Delayed buying as expensive but worth every penny. Stylish, heavy & non slip. My husband highly impressed. Strongly recommend.
