“Disappointed

Bought this to replace my old robust airer that I have had for years that is now beginning to show its age. I was very disappointed on opening the package, the airer is filmsy and very poor quality for the price not what I would have expected from Lakeland it is also not easy to put up or down.

“The not- so- easy up airer-real disappointment

I love Lakeland for many things including the quality.But this airer really disappointed me.Had it not been so big,I'd have returned it. It is NOT easy to engage the slots to secure the airer,it is a nightmare. I can't bend due to health problem and have to rely on someone being available to help me-often just not possible. And, for the price,it is more flimsy than my previous trusty airer. It is way over-priced , I expected better. Want to add to my review: After a lovely man rang today from Lakeland,I'm getting a refund. Thank you Lakeland. Number 1 as always for the customer.

“Clothes Airer Revolution

I am so very glad I bought a new airer. This is light and so much bigger than my old one. I have used it for all my sheets which dry quickly and now I have shirts on hangers airing and hopefully drying soon. I am very pleased with my purchase.

“Not very robust

I was initilly pleased with this item when I bought it about 2 years ago, however after a few uses one of the metal wires came unstuck from the frame, then another one did the same a few months later - so these are now wired to the frame to keep it stable. The main problem is that the legs on one side of the airer have bowed out of shape, making it less stable, and now impossible to fold down to its original compact size. Something of this price should last a lot longer.

“Not great
”

My previous airer lasted many years but I need more dying space. This product is far less robust than I expected and already after two uses one of the thin bars has come loose from the main frame. I can't be bothered to return it so I'm hoping glue will do the trick. It's also not that easy to put up.

“Fab Clothes Airer

Having had my previous airer for 15 years + I was surprised how difficult it was to find one to the same quality - until I looked on the Lakeland site. I ordered it on the weds and it arrived fri morning- very impressive! This airer holds 8kg of washing easily and is very sturdy - only thing is the 4 black handles at the top of the airer come off easily not sure what their purpose is other than decorative, but this is a very minor point. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product to anyone!

“Excellent Airer

I'm really pleased that I bought this airer. It is light and easy to put up and down and folds down to an easy to store size. It has plenty of hanging space and takes a big washing load with plenty of width to take even the widest items without crumpling.

“As it says - easy
”

Delivered a few days ago and its just what I needed and wanted. Easy to open, lightweight but seems strong, folds to an easy to store size, and good drying space for a full load with enough width to have items flat rather than crumpled. Surprised that an earlier review thought it was difficult.

“Brilliant
”

I used this airer the day it arrived, it is so light and easy to use, (I have arthritis). I had a full washing load and the airer still had plenty of space on it. I love this item and would advise anyone not to hesitate in purchasing one. Thank You Lakeland. Edna

“Easy-up airer

I am really pleased with this airer after years of using my old one! It is very stable and holds lots of washing. I wish I had purchased one of these before instead of making do with my old one :-)

“Not so good

I was unsure about buying this airer to replace my trusty old one but based on the reviews here I went for it. What a disappointment it was though. All the bars are metal which means that clothes have a tendancy to slip off (especially as they get dryer). The smaller bars are very thin and mark the clothes as they dry. It is fidely to put up, having to hold it up with one had whilst engaging the lock with your foot. I felt the whole thing felt of very poor quality for the money and was very pleased that Lakeland are so good at offering refunds. I would not recommend this unit.

“Bags of space & lives up to its name

I wanted a clothes dryer that was wide enough to hang an XL or XXL t-shirt across without bunching up or folding and this is it. Lots of rails, well spaced so it holds loads of washing. Seems pretty sturdy (although I am a little concerned about the plastic bits and I hope they hold up in use). Lightweight and really easy to open and close. It's great!

“Very pleased with airer
”

This is a good quality airer, very easy to put up and take down. The extra wide rails are great and I can now hang towels and my husband's polo shirts without having to fold them. Delighted with purchase.

“Holds tons of washing
”

Racks long enough for a large tshirts, and enough space between them to allow plenty of airflow. Takes two loads of laundry at a time. Incredibly useful with two children and a baby in cloth nappies.

“Clothes swallower
”

I've had this sturdy airer for years and it holds a surprising amount of clothes. It is nice and stable (even with a cat who used to try and climb up it) and folds down to a couple of inches wide, which is very important in a small flat.
