Surface too rough!”
by Miss Tye
I'm not happy at all with my Poppies ironing board cover. The surface is very rough so my clothes get stuck to the cover when I'm ironing them, and they're being pulled out of shape every time I try to move them around the board. I would not recommend this ironing board cover to anyone as the surface is just too rough to be useable - I'm afraid I'll be binning mine! I wish I'd bought one of Lakeland's other ironing board covers - there are some which do describe their surface as being smooth in the product descriptions. With the Poppies cover, I'd just presumed this was a given!

Flapping over ironing board cover”
by Christine Cooke
Certainly the hook & loop flaps on the board help to secure the cover and It may be that I am not fitting them correctly -- since there are no instructions it is difficult to know -- but when one tries to close up the board, the folding mechanism is forced into the top strap and would break it unless the strap is released. Is this a design fault or am I missing a trick?

Very good cover and pretty”
by Mrs Valerie Preston
I was very pleased with this cover. My Minky ironing board is quite new but the cover was a nuisance. It kept coming off so I have put this poppies one over the top of it and it is great, considering that my board is actually 125X45cm and this cover is 122X38cm. The cover fits perfectly and it nice and tight on the board. Great!! I am ordering another one to keep as a spare!

This fits great apart from being a bit flappy at the square end (not part of the pull string). The silicone is a great idea but only works a couple of times, and then it wears off, so no good if you think it is going to last as long as the cover!

Fits perfectly on my 122 x 38cm board, feels like nice quality and looks lovely. Very happy. (Thanks for the guidance on what to do with the little blue plastic thing!)

DIY if you can”
Cover seems fine, but ... The label states 'With a draw cord, fixing clip and underboard straps for easy fixing'. Problem is there were absolutely no instructions on how to do the job! The fixing clip is a piece of plastic with three slots in it.

A note from the team: Once you've pulled the draw cord tight so that the cover fits snugly round the board you secure the ends of the cord using the plastic disc. The cord needs to be wound round the disc and then secured by passing the cords through the slots in the disc. The hook and loop strips are then pulled taught under the board to keep the cover from slipping.
