I was dubious whether I would use this but actually find it indispensable now! It keeps the car tidy and if you line with a small carrier bag it's super easy to empty without removing the whole bin from the car.

STOPS THE MESS”
I became so annoyed with others and ok maybe myself occasionally leaving rubbish around in the car, that this item was a godsend. Maybe could have been slightly larger but solves a problem without having to use plastic bags. First class

I don't only use it for rubbish. This bin is so useful it folds up into the seat pocket infront, so can be quickly accessed and is washable. I now put a disposable liner in the bin to dispose of any waste. Highly recommended.

Terrific bin! best one around :-)”
...and I've tried a couple in my day. Unlike others, this one is big enough to fit more (lots more!) than a tissue and a couple of wrappers (it's been on road trips, and coped fine even if after a little squashing), but still not get-in-the-way big. I found it to be a great fit on the rear central console - with the patch of velcro at the bottom, it stays in place even through hairpin turns. And it's out of the way of anyone riding in the car unless they use the middle seat, which is too small on many cards for a comfortable ride anyway, and yet equally accessible by all. Perfect!

Shame about the fixing”
by Christine Schofield
A good product but my headrests are fixed & gear stick in wrong position to use it. Velcro tab for bottom fixing wouldn't stick to uncarpeted floor. A velcro loop would be so simple!

A note from the team: Thanks for passing on this suggestion for the collapsible car bin, we've sent it to our buying team.
This fits neatly in the back of the car and the velcro stickers stop it toppling over. Easy to clean material and could be lined with a freezer bag if you wish. Wouldn't be without one now!

My office recently banned individual waste bins to a) encourage us to recycle; and b) save time on cleaners emptying them. However, this means all those little bits of rubbish and banana skins, apple cores etc just sit on the desk until the end of the day, or it's several trips to the recycling bins. So I bought one of these to pop all bits in and just empty it as the end of the day. Everyone who sees it wants to know where I got it.

I was sick of de-junking the mess in the back of the car from the kids. Got one of these before we went on holiday this year & it's great.

I absolutely love this product. As a mother of 3 young children, it has become an essential item for all journeys. The bin hangs perfectly from the armrest of the drivers seat, so all the children have access to it. Unfortunately, the wire at the base of the bin has torn through the fabric and now sticks out. I have slotted it back in several times but now it sticks out permanently. I can no longer use it now as I am frightened the children will hurt themselves. Such a pity, as the product is definitely 5 star otherwise.

Essential Travel Item”
This is a such fabulous little product that even my husband has been forced to admit its value and ask me to purchase one for his car, closely followed by my parents! The cars all look a lot tidier (& cleaner) now despite the presence of an 8 year old boy. The only bad point is that for us the practical place to put the bin is hanging off the headrest which means you have to take the headrest off every time the bin needs emptying (& mess up the seat position) but in my husband's car his headrest is fixed so I have had to make a fixing method. A velcro loop would be really great please.

At last something that is making me put my rubbish in a bin. Being black it is unobtrusive in my car, I always know where it is so am getting into good habits. Thank you!

Perfect for hanging off the back of my chair in the car and small enough not to get in the way of occasional passengers in the back. Ideal for keeping the car tidy. Only critism is that I have to take the headrest off my seat and put one of the legs from the headrest back throught the loop of the bin to secure it. Might have been better if there was a velcro type attachment

Although useful for small bits of rubbish, and gets away from leaving the horrible plastic bag in the car which always splits, not that good for substantial amount of car junk. Liked the design though and it was a Xmas present.

A note from the team: I'm sorry that you'd been disappointed with the size of the bin. I'll be in touch shortly.
Like the other reviewers my car bin arrived incomplete, but once hung in the car it hasnt made the slightest bit of difference! Very handly for kids sweetie rappers and not a huge size so it gets in the way.

I bought the car bin and found on opening it that it had no hook and loop tape in it. I went back the next day and was told by customer services that the present supply did not have any. As this was already known it would have helped if there had been a notice either on the display shelf or at the tills. This is not up to the usual Lakeland standards of customer service.

Good Idea - Very small”
A bit disappointed with the size - I was expecting it to be larger, would need a few of these for the kids on a long journey. The idea is great and the quality looks good - but the item is really small, it seems more suitable for one person. Had I realised this I would have ordered more to make better use of the postage cost.

Bad quality control”
by Mr Beirne
"Attach the Car Tidi to somewhere in the car with the supplied hook and loop tape strip". What 'supplied' strip? You have to tell your supplier that they need to sort out their quality control. Seems to be a good product but I haven't used it yet.

Where is the hook and loop tape!!”
I have just bought two of these. I like the idea and it is handy being able to collapse it. However on the box it says hook and loop tape panel provides stability... and " Hangs from the gear stick or fix to the floor using the velcro panel." Given the comments about the elastic not being man enough for the job, hook and loop tape would have helped, but there isn't any!?

Great product and v handy in the car - only complaint is that the elastic has only lasted a couple of weeks and it wasn't really under a lot of pressure.

Great idea - I love it!”
A friend gave me this little bin as a present and I have been delighted with it. It has stopped my husband moaning about the state of my car! One small gripe - I stand the bin on the floor near the passenger seat and hook the elastic over the gear stick. Within a very short period, no more than a week or two, the elastic had completely perished. This has not affected my use of the bin and I plan to buy others as presents.
