needs strong straps”
by Mrs mittal
The velcro straps which help to fit the cover to the board broke off while fitting the first time so I was not able to use the cover for once. For the price the quality of the straps could be stronger.

I have had one of these covers for six years of more. I loved it for the picture but even more because it fits my board and has worn so well for so long. I unfortunately burnt it recently and was delighted to find an exact replacement.

Does not last”
This was initially brilliant. But then it all fell apart and no longer can be fixed to the ironing board. Now it sits in the cupboard useless.

Not strong enough”
by Linda Hudspeth
Gives a lovely ironing surface but to get it fitted properly you need to fix the velcro tabs quite tightly and one of them broke off first time of use!

Iris Ultravap cover”
I am buying my second Iris Ultravap cover as the first has lasted for some years, but is now worn out. I have found it very good to use with my steam iron and problem free. Its only fault is that it needs extra felt padding, which I have been lucky enough to obtain elsewhere, when used with a mesh top board.

this looks nice on my board but one of the velcro straps which help to secure to board lasted less than a week , snapping off, so I am disappointed

The ultravap cover is a great product however for the first few uses I found the aluminium glitter does come off onto the clothes. A tip I used was to use the brush end of my vacuum cleaner to remove the top loose particles.
