The new version looks more streamlined on the worktop, it heats up slightly quicker and you can cook anything in it, however after using the old version daily for 5 years this model does not seem quite so user friendly. The pan is deep so when cooking smaller items I need to use a rack and baking dish or the food takes longer to cook. Please can we have a shallow pan and separator pans as we did with the old version? The lid is too heavy, coating starting to come off lid. Using rack leaves food with soggy bases. Very disappointed

I have had my new remoska for 9 months now but although I am using approximately the same size chicken or leg of lamb I used in the old remoska I find the new machine burns the top of the meat. I don't know if this is due to the curve of the new lid or the depth of the base but it is very disappointing as the old style machine was great. Other meals tend to be quite dry on top when cooked. The new lid is much better, it's stable when set upside down while I add ingredients but basically I am not as happy with the new remoska and have decided not to purchase a second one for our caravan.

Bought Grand Remoska, very disappointed. Have tried many meals in it. I lift the lid to check how the food is cooking, the steam/condensation runs down the handle and onto my arm which is burning hot. The weight of the lids heavy and I have a job to turn the lid over to put onto worktop. Think you should make customers aware of this weight, as I have a weakness in my wrist. I too have burnt a few meals in it as it seems to get so hot and burns the surface but the meal isn't cooked through. I also bought the grill & silicone sheet. So all in all it cost just under £200. No longer feel its safe to use.

Remoska Cooker I had two of these one after the other. Both went straight up to 350c. I lost 2 ready meals. Buy this cooker at your peril.

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry that the Remoska hasn't been a success for you and will be in touch shortly. The Remoska usually cooks at around 180 degrees C. It will get hotter depending what you are cooking – liquid based food will keep the temperature lower , solid food will make it higher.
really love it”
I have been using my remoska for about 3 months and it has cooked a whole meal for my husband and I nearly every day, I use cook in bags and tin foil trays it keeps the inside of my remoska clean, it makes the best roasties, I even cook my sunday roast and all the veg plus roast potatoes and roast parsnips for the two of us, impressed.

Wonderful Grand Remoska”
by Veronica Hayes
So happy with this new model Grand Remoska! I already have the previous version and admit I was a little concerned when I read some of the reviews about the new model. The new lid is a real boon as it is easier to lift and clean. I find the lid is far more stable when inverted onto the worktop whilst I am adding ingredients or stirring. The handles are far better balanced so the lid doesn't tip over at all. That, to me, is a great safety improvement! I am also delighted the lid heats up so much faster than the previous model. I don't miss the window at all!

Not for me!”
I bought this a few months ago, and I'm just not feeling the love! I persevered, cooked three meals in it, one from the recipe book (which went straight in the bin as far too sickly) I also find it far too hot, I heated croissants in it, for not too long, and they were almost burned. As far as I'm concerned I've wasted a considerable amount of money for something that will just sit in my cupboard!

Our range cooker died but as we are in the middle of remodelling the kitchen we didn't want to repair it as we will get a new one eventually. In the meantime I purchased the Remoska and I love it! If I didn't have to get a new cooker I wouldn't. This is fantastic, chicken is divine, jacket spuds amazing and pastry, pizza and bread is so good. Very easy to clean and doesn't take up much space. We can't wait to take it to our caravan in the new year, the thought of being able to cook proper meals is so exciting.

I have been looking at the Remoska with interest for some time especially with its claim to economy. Now as a recently retired, disabled pensioner I decided to invest and purchased the Grande Remoska about a month ago. Sadly for me it has been a waste of money, due to my disability I have difficulty with lifting heavy weights and find I'm unable to safely manage it after the first attempt. It is now relegated to the back of the cupboard. So to avoid others in a similar situation from making the same mistake would you kindly add the weight to the information page. Many Thanks Maggie M

Couldn't be without it!”
We've had our Remoska for about 5 years now and it's just the best kitchen aid we've got (narrowly beating the Kenwood!!). It is so easy to use, produces great results time after time and you know it's using next to no electricity. From stuff like chilli through to pizzas and pies (no soggy bottoms here), and for the best roast potatoes ever it's just FAB! I didn't believe the write ups initially but am so glad I was talked into buying one!

cosmetic improvement only”
by Mrs Angela Frith
I got this to replace my wonderful old Remoska, that has taken a lot of use over the years. This works just as well as before, cooking roasts and chickens perfectly. However it sits closer to the kitchen work top, which worries me a bit, although there's no sign of damage. It can't be picked up in one piece - the lightweight plastic base goes skittering off. It's much harder to wash, with the integral handles, as it does not fit well into a small sink. The lightweight lid seems ok, and easier to handle, cleaner looking too. So on the whole I give it 4 stars to the old models 5

I got the wrong size chicken by mistake, as my oven is broken I wanted to cook it in my grand Remoska. I pushed the chicken into a roasting bag and put it in the Remoska, after 10 mins realised there was a problem, took the lid off and it looked my chicken had been using steroids, it was touching the lid. Whipped the chicken out, took it out the bag, removed the breast bone, my version of spatchcock. Shoved it back in and started to pray. When the timer went off I lifted the lid and there lay a perfectly cooked chicken, yummy crispy skin, moist flesh. Proving the Remoska is brilliant again.

fabulous grand remoska”
Read other reviews before buying and very much agree with the positive comments. I bought this as I have a Rayburn cooker and its been far too hot this summer to use. The remoska has been amazing, have cooked fish, cakes, jacket potatoes perfectly. Also bought the rack, extremely useful. I'm always wary about buying electrical appliances for kitchen, they're so often not used. This is a welcome exception, genuinely impressed. Will use in winter too, so versatile.

I bought the old style standard one off a well known auction site to try for our motor home. Was so impressed that my husband bought the new style grand size from Lakeland for my birthday which we use most days in the house. Cooks great jacket potatoes, Toad in the hole, lasagne, pastry, scones. On my recommendation, my brother bought one for their caravan and a friend for theirs. Hardly use the main fan oven now.

I've had a grand remoska for a few years and my first one packed up after I dropped it. I then bought a halogen oven but couldn't get on with it and didn't find it as efficient as the remoska so I bought the new grand remoska. I love it, use it all the time as I live alone. It's much lighter and easier to handle than the first model, I tell everyone it's well worth the price and much cheaper to run than the oven. I cook everything in it and it does sausages and bacon perfect, it also bakes cakes perfectly. Buy it it's well worth the investment.

Best decision made.”
The only decision I had to make with buying a new Ramoska was whether to buy the grand or the standard size to replace my well used but getting old standard sized one and after much thought and deliberation I chose the grand and am so glad I did. I have used it many times already, its amazing how much you can cook in it and on the days when I just want a casserole for two I use an 8" cake tin or 7" (solid bottomed) it's a perfect size for cooking separate things and leaves a little room for a jacket potato or two.

I'm amazed at how easy it is to cook a full roast dinner in the Remoska it is so easy to use with no mess and quick beautiful tasty results all in one pan. Jacket potatoes are the best ever and the small and large cakes are perfect. It actually makes me seem a great cook.

My old Remoska lasted about 13 years. When it finally went, I did not hesitate to buy the new version. I miss the window in the top but now I'm getting used to judging the timings. Our favourite meal in the Remoska is Chicken Breasts, with a teaspoon of oil, and some fresh Thyme, half a teaspoon of ginger, salt and black pepper, wrapped in envelopes of foil and placed in the Remoska with potatoes and onions cut up to roast for about 40 mins. Mmm. Lovely.

Simple Clever Cooker”
An easy to use, brilliant cooker. I have used mine for some weeks now and already wouldn't be without it. It cooks anything you would do in a normal oven. Just had jacket potatoes tonight, beautifully crispy skins and soft inside. I have cooked both small and large cakes, roast potatoes, casseroles. It never fails. You will get to know how long things take to cook. I bought the cookbook too, which is full of good recipes to start you off. Cannot recommend this cooker highly enough. Thank you Lakeland!
