Butter Knife

I have had this knife previously and it was made in stainless steel. Although the catalogue states it is stainless, it no longer has stainless engraved on the blade and indeed rusted the first time I used it.

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry for the problem with the blade. It may be that the rusting is actually water staining usually caused by the blade being left wet after washing. Please dry the blade as soon as possible after washing, especially if it's been in the dishwasher.I've checked with the buyer and the blade is made from stainless steel and is suitable for the dishwasher.

Butter Knife

Like Mr Johnson I have had a few of these butter knives over the years, and when they are good they are brilliant, and then they break in two. Just bought two more and hope they last longer as they are superb knives.

Butter Knife

I have had four of these butter knives over a period of about four years. I find them very easy to use and well suited to the job. BUT Each knife after a few months use has broken. The tang that enters the handle snaps and the knife ends in two pieces. Either there is a design fault or inferior steel is being used. I will buy another, but I hope manufacturers will improve the strength of their product.

Butter Knife

I have five butter knives, including two of these. With my family you can never have too many they just use and throw in the sink and dishwasher - wouldn't dream of washing one! Excellent for lots of jobs and the handle is comfortable and dishwasher proof (unlike wooden handled ones).
