we are now on our second smart kettle because the first was returned as faulty. This one is no better and I will be returning it as soon as I get chance ! sometimes it will not switch on, sometimes it starts to heat up then stops which is very annoying when you have left the room, returned, filled mug then realised ! at other times, especially after it has been difficult to start, it doesn't stop boiling ! both the kettles we have had have acted the same.

We're sorry to hear you've experienced these problems. We're wondering if the the issue when the kettle turns itself off is due to the starting process this kettle operates. Once switched on, the START/CANCEL and 100° boil button surrounds will illuminate in white for one minute. A beep will sound for two seconds. The START/CANCEL button surround will automatically switch off after one minute if not selected.So you will need to press the START button.When the kettle has heated the water to the selected temperature, 3 beeps will sound, the START/CANCEL button surround illumination will switch off, and the selected temperature button surround will remain illuminated for 1 minute before switching off.If you've selected the KEEP WARM function the button surround will remain illuminated in red, the selected temperature button surround will remain illuminated in white, and the kettle will maintain the desired setting for 20 minutes. If further heating of the kettle is not required, switch off at the power outlet.We hope this helps and will be in touch soon to help.
