Very pleased with this machine. Great results so far. Good shaped loaves and love the baguette tray. Cup measurements are not easy to read but this is not a huge problem. Having accurate scales on hand is a big plus.

Nice one! No shop bought bread now.”
by Mrs Chalmers
I bought this as a replacement for an old Panasonic machine which had given up the ghost. The first one that was sent had a loose control panel & was replaced immediately by Ian. Great service. In common with other people, I find the buttons on the control panel are hard to use & it seems a bit hit or miss whether you get the right spot to make it work. The measurements on the cup are hard to read, but that was the same on my old machine. I much prefer the shape of the loaf from the new one, more like a traditional loaf & we are enjoying trying out all the recipes. No shop bought b

Trouble with Breadmaker”
by Mrs Dowson
Having read previous reviews I was looking forward to using my new bread maker. I have tried it with Lakeland mixes and also other recipes in the book and have had problems with them all. The basic bread looked fine on baking but was very hard and when toasted I could not eat it. Bake to making bread the normal way.

success every time!”
I bought this to replace a good Kenwood machine that stopped working. The Lakeland Bread maker Plus is much better and I am particularly impressed with the wholemeal loaves. All the loaves have a lovely light texture and crispy crust. I have not had a single failure with this bread maker, even when making mistakes, such as using spelt flour instead of white or realising that I had run out of minor ingredients such as milk. The start button has a handy feature of requiring you to hold it for a few seconds until the machine responds. This prevents prematurely starting the machine.

Love it, love it, love it !!”
Delivery within 48 hours. Brilliant service. I have been trying out different recipes from the booklet included and every one has been a success. Lovely bread with a great crust. Better than shop brought. The only thing that puzzles me is that it came with a black plastic frame which looks as if it should fit over the 'scale' end of the machine. But what for? Not mentioned in the instruction book, nor is it included in the parts list or on any picture. The machine itself is wonderful, but I agree with other comments that the measurement cup is very hard to read.

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. The black plastic piece is part of the packaging and is designed to help protect the machine whilst still in the box.
Great Start to New Year”
by Karen Ellis
We ordered the bread maker on January 1st and are really pleased with the decision. I read bread maker reviews before making the purchase of the Lakeland Plus. Since making the first loaf I have not bought bread from the supermarket, I have tried the basic white and wholemeal recipies and am now using organic bread flour, I will be trying other variations over the coming weeks. I am really enjoying the new addition to my kitchen. I have since made other purchases from Lakeland and have found the customer care to be outstanding.

We originally purchased the 'baby' Lakeland Breadmaker earlier on this year and have been very happy with it, but we decided we needed a bigger loaf! Based on that experience we went for the Lakeland Breadmaker Plus. So far, the results using the first 2 recipees have been great. The plastic cup and spoon measures are not much use (they were fine for the other machine). A set of measuring spoons for small measures and the excellent scales and you are in business. As for measuring water, for ml read g rather than strain your eyes trying to read the markings on the cup.

Very pleased with the breadmaker. So far I have only made 2 loaves and they have been great -nice light loaves with a crispy crust. However I did use the recipe from my previous breadmaker. Haven't tried one from the lakeland booklet yet although I notice the basic white includes milk power which I find makes a drier loaf. I hope this breadmaker lasts as long as my previous one - 12 years and used 3-4 times a week. It would be very useful to be able to get spare bread pans as I found on my other breadmaker it was these that wear out. Also Lakeland customer services are excellent.

Hello to my new friend!”
I reluctantly had to replace my old breadmaker; I read information and reviews on every current machine. Being fairly new, there are few reviews of the Breadmaker + so I rang Lakeland and a very knowledgeable woman helped. With Lakeland's returns policy I felt able to buy with confidence. So far I have made great baguettes, the gingerbread recipe worked well and the scales are excellent. I would have liked a solid dispenser drawer to take small seeds to reduce wear on the non-stick lining and the measuring cup is illegible but other than these 2 tiny niggles, definitely a 5* product so far.

Good Repla cement”
by Mr Crook
This machine was brought to replace a 11 year old Panasonic SD251 machine I have made a number of whole meal loafs all have come out well. It is very easy to use however the manual is not as in depth as my old machine. My old Panasonic was very good and this is just as good the only concern is that the mixing hopper is a little light weight. I am not displeased with my purchase and is a good buy and would recommend. I would rate this 4.5 out of 5

I've been making my own bread for some while since even the local organic bread is tough and rubbery! I have just been given a Lakeland bread maker. I've made three different loaves so far, using the instruction book recipes, and they have been perfect. My first basic white loaf had the crispiest crust I've eaten since I was a child back in the 1940s! It looks good, the instructions are easy to follow and the bread is delicious.

We have had several different brands of maker in the past, and this machine is the best we have ever used. The bread is delicious. We bought a pot of organic dough improver that we bought from a lakeland store and it made the best loaf ever. Don't think we will bother buying shop bought bread again.
