Essential to polished cake-ing”
The only way to efficiently torte cakes. I cut my deep cakes into 4 1cm layers to allow icing and it would be simply impractical with a knife. Also handy for levelling peaked cakes (if only slicing a sliver off, start the cut with a small knife slit). Excellent product

Perfect every time”
I wouldn't be without this. I am hopeless trying to cut a cake with a knife it usually ends up on a slant, or worse. But with this you get a cake perfectly cut in half. You can adjust the height too for different sized cakes. There is a tecnique, you have to use a sawing motion and keep it going. But in the end you have a cake perfectly cut in two. Worth buying.

I needed a wider cake wire than the one I already had and this fitted the bill. Unfortunately on first use the wire became loose and baggy rendering the whole thing completely useless. I shall be returning it to the store as soon as I can.

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry that the cake wire hasn't worked for you and will be in touch shortly.
Perfect I’m really sorry for the people who didn’t like this product but I find it very very practical. I can cut my sponge cakes in no time unlike when I used to do it with a knife and had to be careful not to cut a finger. The layers are very regular now. I strongly advise it.

Waste of Money”
The blade is far too flimsy to be of any use. Also mine came with only one silicone foot. I did remove the other one to " level it up" but it was still a waste of money.

It is a shame that the previous customer was so disappointed with the cake cutter because I have found it great. It has served me for about 10 years I think, being used on a regular basis and has only just given up when the wire snapped off its ring holder. The secret is to use it like a knife, pushing back and forth while at the same time rotating the wire like the hands of a clock without putting too much pressure in pushing forward. I am about to order another one. Thank you for such a useful tool.

This is a huge let down, after its first use the wire has stretched so much it hangs loosely from the frame. I've tried pulling the frame wider apart but it cant match the wire's length. If 0 stars was an option I'd have used it.
