After failed attempts with flat, dense loaves, I was about to give up when I realised my yeast was near to its expiry date, the tub had first been used some time ago. The same with the flour. New yeast and flour I started again. Placing the ingredients in the pan in the order shown (flour, sugar, butter, salt, water, and yeast in the dispenser), I have so far produced three lovely very large, edible loaves - including a gluten free (saving quite a bit of money). This morning there was another lovely loaf - my third in a row.
