I have owned a Panasonic breadmaker for 13 years, but decided to buy this one for all the upgraded features/jam making, and I haven't been disappointed. It's amazing quality, and well worth the money. I have made several jams which have all been successful, and pizza dough, bread, rolls etc all come out perfectly. Easy to clean, another fantastic Panasonic product. Don't be tempted by cheaper bread makers...you really do get what you pay for.

wonderful lakeland and breadmaker”
Bought this today, on offer and free brioche bread mixes. Came home and made one, it is wonderful, light, buttery and well risen. the breadmaker is so much better than my previous Panasonic 253 and I thought that was great! But as it was over 7 years old, time to trade up. The service in the Bath store was outstanding, and the guarantee should last till I meet the great breadmaker in the sky! As always, Lakeland is tops! Thanks

Originally bought a different make which was faulty so decided to change for the Panasonic. I had a breadmaker years ago and couldn't get on with it so was hesitant to buy another and made my bread by hand. I needn't have worried, it's fantastic and makes the softest bread. I have just made one using the timer and even leaving it for the maximum 13hrs it was perfect. Thanks to Lakeland for their excellent customer care when I returned the original breadmaker.

Shop bread a thing of the past”

Love it!! Cannot fault this machine. Bakes fantastic bread time after time, perfect dough if you want to make rolls. Just one word of warning, be careful what flour you buy - 2012 was a poor harvest & now in 2013 we are seeing that flour on the shelves. Loaves do not rise. It isn't the bread machine - it's the lack of gluten in the flour. Make sure you buy good quality imported flour such as Canadian to avoid this. Couldn't go back to shop bread after owning this machine.

On the whole I am pleased with this product. However occasionally the bread is baking with one end considerably higher than the other. I have used only ready prepared bread mix and make sure the mix is evenly spread in the pan adding water carefully and evenly. This fault is not covered in the fault finder unless you have used ingredients from scratch. Very annoying if you needed to use slices of an even size!

Excellent product, superb service”
Living in France, I was amazed to receive this breadmaker from Lakeland in only three days, at a carriage cost of only £7.50. I made my first perfect loaf, a granary one, overnight. The quality of the product is excellent and the instruction book clear and comprehensible with dozens of recipes to choose from. Having made bread by hand for decades, this machine has overcome my prejudice that a machine can't do it as well! And the timer means you can wake up to the smell of fresh bread and eat if for breakfast!

Shot in the dark.”
My old Panasonic seized up after 12 years hard service. I ordered this newer version with trepidation, but also ordered a spare bearing for my old workhorse on the internet and it was back in production precisely 24 hrs later! So had I dropped a clanger? This new machine is smarter, its recipes are completely different (less sugar, no dried milk), the bread doesn't stick one jot in the hopper, and the yeast goes in later in the mixing process. I love my old bread machine and have stashed it for a rainy day. But the bread from the newer machine is better by some considerable margin: 10/10.

Have got to leave a review about this machine, my daughter is wheat free so we have been looking for a bread machine that we could use spelt flour in and this is it fabulous great loaves every time,( no more shop bought bread with dozens of ingredient's that taste awful ) I'm looking forward to trying speciality breads. We know we can always rely on lakeland have shopped here since almost the beginning

When my 6 year old Panasonic breadmaker died I had no hesitation in buying another Panny. I'm on my second of this model. Neither of them produce a crusty loaf, even on the dark setting. It is suggested that painting oil, milk or egg on the surface of the loaf 60 minutes before the end of cooking time may produce a darker crust. I have yet to try this but can't imagine I'll be doing this on a regular basis!

A note from the team: We're sorry that despite your patience and many attempts to get a dark crust on your loaf the Panasonic is still not producing the results you expected. We'll be in touch to help.
This breadmaker has been in constant use since purchased. Even makes a good 100% wholemeal, 100% granary, fruity spelt loaf, pizza dough, 3 sizes of loaf. Nearly always use the timer, and it's fine to have on overnight because it's so quiet. Even the kids have stopped asking for 'shop bread', because I can also make a great white loaf. Now we can eat all organic no-additives bread every day. Watch out for a typo in instructions for fruity spelt - should be program 14 not 13. All recipes can be made vegan if wanted by substituting the butter with 1.5 tbsp olive oil - equally excellent results

My Machine arrived on Friday and I could'nt wait to to try it, my last one broke a few years ago so thought I would at last replace it. Really easy to use and my first loaf was fantastic. I am going to try some chelsea buns later..If they turn out like the bread I will be really impressed. Going by the first loaf I would suggest that if you have any doubt at all then you wont be dissapointed with this machine, It also looks great in stainless steel.

super bread maker”
by Mr Garside
Got the Panasonic bread maker the other day made 6 loaves up to now and they have all come out perfect, but I am someone who reads the instruction and if you do that you can't go wrong, I've even used it to make a bloomer bloomer dough and it came out great, love the nuts and yeast dispenser,as for the paddle sticking simply pour a drop of oil through it, or if it is stuck put some washing up liquid in the tin and fill with hot tap water, leave for 10mins and it comes out dead easy,I have a very small bottle brush which I poke through the paddle and just go wiggle wiggle and it good to go.

"WOW" success at last!”
I have used a bread maker for the past 15 years but not until using this Panasonic one have I achieved such a perfect loaf. I only purchased it two days ago but have made a white and 50/50 wholemeal loaf and both were perfection. I know it's very early days but I plan to work my way through all the recipes baking a different loaf every day - hopefully all will be fantastic! I don't know how our waist lines will cope with the challenge of all this bread but I'm more than willing to chance it! The only little problem I've found with the machine is the end of cycle buzzer which is far too quiet.

So pleased to have another Panasonic Breadmaker, I had another make from Lakeland but just could not get good results, Lakeland kindly exchanged it for a Panasonic which was the same make as my old model, which had given up the ghost after year's of hard work and excellent results. As always brilliant results from this new Panasonic Breadmaker, and top marks for Lakeland's customer service. Pansonic in my view has to be the best breadmaker on the market

Better than ever!”
It has taken me over a year to indulge in this stainless steel bread maker as I had an earlier model in white, still going strong; alas, I wanted the one with the dispenser and all those lovely recipes that I couldn't have with my other one. This is my third Panasonic and it is wonderful! The coating in the bread pan is the best thing ever as the loaf slips out easily and the paddle does not stay in the loaf as my old one sometimes did, but, of course, it is new! I am ecstatic!

Having owned a Panasonic breadmaker for about 15 years I did not hesitate to buy a new one. After three weeks I had still not produced an acceptable loaf. My standard brown loaves were shrunken, pale and looked undercooked. I altered the proportions of ingredients, as suggested by Panasonic, without success. Reluctantly I returned my breadmaker to Lakeland and obtained a refund. Very disappointed, but wonderful customer service from Lakeland.

Bought this breadmaker after much deliberation. Choosing it because it had the advantage of the separating the yeast. It hasn't let me down. The instructions are clear and the resulting bread has been delicious. Have had a variety of different machines over the years but this is the best one I have ever bought.

We bought this to replace our old, much used, Panasonic. Produced a perfect wholemeal loaf using Carrs bread mix straight away. We would have bought the model we had, as it was good, but it was no longer produced. However, this model is even better with extra features, not yet tried. The new bowl is superior and spatular doesn't stick in the loaf. Definitely a good buy.

This bread maker is a bit of a star”
Our old bread maker finally gave up the ghost and we bought this online as a replacement just before Christmas. It's not let us down and we've had delicious white loaves, granary loaves, wholemeal and rye loaves so far. It's quiet and the bread looks and tastes fabulous. A couple of things - there's no 'spy window' to let you see what's happening which I missed at first. If I'd known this I might not have bought it but the machine is so reliable there's no need to check up on it! The only teeny gripe is that sometimes the paddle gets stuck in the bottom of the loaf. Not really a problem. Yummy

A note from the team: Thanks for taking the time to write your review about the Panasonic bread maker. I'm glad to hear what a success it’s been. To stop the paddle sticking we suggest lightly oiling it before you start.
Reliable bread maker”

Every time I need some household products, I pop into Lakeland. Because I know Lakeland have done research for us and I don't need to spend time searching and reading reviews. First time to use bread maker. Never disappointed with this product. Although a bit shame when I saw it reduced when logged in to write a review. However, very happy to see Instruction has been uploaded. Now I don't need to worry any longer about losing the hard copy one day. Thanks, Lakeland!
