As stated by another reviewer, if you follow the instructions to the letter, you should not experience any problems. Use a good quality chocolate and DRIZZLE it into the mould to fill it. Put the stick in AFTER the chocolate and right up to the centre. I put a little melted chocolate over the lolly stick. I didn't refrigerate the mould at all and the number 9 came out beautifully. I also used the 6 without the stick to make extra '9s' round my cake. Beautiful result!

I've used this mould before and had no issues. However, I used it for the first time to make lollipops using the number 9 and found it difficult to use as the chocolate had a tendency to break when trying to pop the chocolate out the mould which was very frustrating. The mould is great for some numbers but not others!!

It sounds as though the chocolate was too hard.Try leaving the mould a little longer (to come up to room temperature)and the numbers should shrink away from the edge of the mould to make release easier. I just received this mould and the first thing that I noticed was that there was only one number 1. So I will have to do age 11 one at a time. Keeping it though as it will be used loads.

Not as good as I'd hoped”
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong here with these, but the grooves for placing the little lolly sticks in aren't deep enough and it's difficult to get the sticks actually embedded in the chocolate...

Great value for money”
Great item, highly recommended. It can get quite messy though, I recommend using a piping bag to get the chocolate neatly into the Mold.

GREAT FINISHING TOUCH”
A really good edible idea as an alternative to plastic or wax numbers. Fairly easy to use although I did have difficulty taking some of the set chocolate out of the moulds - on occassion the numbers snapped in half and the sticks came away. There isnt enough depth to bury the sticks well and care is needed when removing.

A must for any kitchen”

As a first time user of the product I thought it may take a few goes before I mastered it (How wrong was I.) If you follow the instructions you will NOT go wrong , so effective and gives a wow factor to my cakes. To give the number a more crisp look trim the sides with a small knife, I even took the edges off it to give it a more rounded look. Chocolate is so much fun to work with . Try spraying with gold shimmer spray and leave to dry it looks fab!
