One great pair of gloves, for oven, hob, grill and BBQ. And recently discovered their benefit when refuelling wood burning stove. Will never buy another type of oven glove or mitten.

GREAT FOR PRESERVE MAKING”
Great to wear when bottling jam, marmalade or chutney. Wearing these gloves allows you to hold a hot jar when putting on the lid. These gloves have saved many a burn from occurring!

When I first had an Aga some years ago, I was always burning my hands & arms. Traditional mitten type oven gloves were too clumsy so when I discovered these I was over the moon! The gripper pads are a wonderful innovation. I have both kinds - the gauntlets are great for getting things from the back of the oven (I don't have any problem with rolling up sleeves or removing my watch). My gloves are now in need of replacement, having been washed many times. A tip your reviewer may find useful clip them together with large pegs & hang them near the oven (on the Aga rail), no need for loops.

Great oven gloves”
I love these oven gloves. They are made of a thick, heat-resistant material which works every time. Better than mittens because you can use your fingers. I also bought the gauntlet type gloves for my mum (who is always burning her arms on her oven), and she agrees that they are excellent.

Have used an oven cloth for the past twenty year but sadly could not find another to replace. Hate the mitten type so bulky. So bought these to give them a go. Absolutely spot on and really safe to use Have to order another pair for my husband and my neighbour is on the case as well. Well done lakeland

Whoever developed these gloves deserves to be made a dame or a knight. I've had one or two near misses with the mitten-type gloves but these are very safe and I am able to hold Pyrex dishes, for instance, much more securely. The gloves wash very well too.

what a shame - bought these for my dad to replace his old ones but they are far too small, only just fit me - so will have to take them back

Multipurpose oven gloves”

I love these gloves - not only are they excellent oven gloves giving much more grip and control than traditional oven mits, but also very useful for helping my arthritic hands to grip jars for opening and closing in comfort.

Great for Preserving”
by Jacqueline Gilfillan
I bought these oven gloves as I thought they would protect my hands from splatters of boiling jams, etc. They have done the job really well and additionally they make the handling of the hot jars much safer too. I can grab the hot jars straight from the oven and easily screw the lids onto the filled jars. It has made my preserving days so much safer and easier and I would highly recommend them. They have also been through the wash and cleaned up well. Great to finally have some protection from the heat but still be able to handle everything easily and safely. Thanks Lakeland :-)

Brilliant gloves. Even better now with the silicon grips. Could only be improved now if they had hanging loops....I keep putting them down and losing them. One minor gripe .... Why so much packaging, staples, cardboard, plastic ties and a cellophane back surely this could be significantly simplified?

Note: You Get TWO gloves! (smile).”
I ordered these as a replacement for the silicone mitts I had some time ago from Lakeland, thinking they would be more dextrous than the clumsy sililcone. Yes, they are but note that they do not protect from hot water/steam. AND... they come as a pair (which I would have realised if I'd read the small text of the listing). Guess my second pair that I ordered will be someone's Christmas present.

We bought these because I am forever burning hands using mats etc. but we have found one extra side to them. They grip so well I can safely pick up heavier dishes again. Could do with a steam/water resistant layer to make them perfect. So buying extra pair for campervan.

does the job”
very pleased with these gloves no more scorched fingers they are a very nice fit are not bulky and the silicone on the palms helps you certainly dont feel the heat off the hot dishes

These gloves are perfect! We had delayed buying new gloves because the bog standard oven glove that you can buy from any supermarket just doesn't cut the mustard. These are great, can pick up a dish from the oven with plenty of time to put on a heatproof board with much more control than the mitten type. I keep mine on a double telescopic tea-towel holder next to the oven, each arm slides into a thumb or finger.

Just what I have been waiting for”
These gloves are perfect for me. My old gloves are finished, so these are perfect for me. I like the idea of a glove, not keen on the typical oven gloves as not as much control.

Perfect for small spaces.”
I got these specifically for tight spaces as my usual double oven gloves are too bulky. These are perfect for using with my mini oven & getting bowls/dishes out of my slow cooker, in fact anything that is hot to hold. The silicone spots give an extra grip & reassurance. Unless you are delving deep into hot big ovens this shorter length is ideal for everything else. I use a strong magnet that I put the gloves between it and a metal surface & that seems to work!

Just what I needed”
These gloves work very well and fingers give more control than the usual mittens. I had thought of the gauntlets but I suspect that you would have to roll up sleeves and take off your watch so instead I also bought the guards for the front of the oven shelf, which are really easy to fit. I cannot say how well the gloves will wash and I have one small niggle. I would have liked to have seen a loop to hang the gloves on a hook. I fear that I am going to spend time trying to remember where I put them!
