I am returning my attachment as after 45 mins it still needed hours in the freezer. I have made ice cream for years using my Kenwood without a specific attachment.I expected to be able to serve immediately.

This attachment makes really delicious ice cream. Completely different to shop bought and is great way to take advantage of fruit in season. It comes with a bowl that needs to be pre-frozen (if you can spare the space, you need to keep in your freezer so it's ready for use when required). All the ingredients, the paddle and the splash guard need to be ice cold. It takes about 30-40 minutes to for the ice cream to become slushy and then it needs to be finished in the freezer before it's ready to eat. I've had great fun experimenting and have made low-fat and even vegan ice cream.
