Not as expected”
Having used the vanilla for years and always been delighted with the quality and strength of the product, I thought the coffee would be just as good. Sadly not. Usually I just grind coffee granules for my coffee and walnut cake but thought this would be very handy and a small bottle would go a long way. Because it is so weak you need to use quite a bit, definitely not by the drop and the coffee "taste" is not very pleasant, rather rank. Unfortunately this was not a good purchase and also very expensive at that. Will just stick to the granules in future for a cheaper realistic coffee flavour.

The title says it all, it tasted awful, for £5.99 I feel ripped off. It was vile, so disappointed. Wasted an entire batch of coffee and walnut cake ingredients. It tasted so artificial.

Ratio of essence to use”
by Mrs JULIA MUSSON
I have just purchased this essence and was looking forward to making some mini coffee/chocolate muffins however the usage given is so vague: 1/2 tsp for subtle flavour to 1.5 tsp for strong flavour.......but to what measurements is that? It forced me to give a rating.....I am assuming it will be great! Thank you

I decided to use this coffee extract to make a batch of mini vegan chocolate cupcakes a little more interesting by adding a few drops to the chocolate frosting. The flavour it gave was well-balanced and absolutely delicious and the cupcakes went down an absolute storm. Highly recommend.
