Waste of money”
by Donna Perry
This hoover makes a really loud noise, which gives the idea that it has a powerful suction. Not so! After a few uses it has stopped picking any bits up at all. I wish I had returned it when I had first bought it. It has gradually deteriorated over time until it is no longer used at all. I expected more from a Lakeland product and only bought it because I trusted Lakeland. Very, very disappointed.

Excellent cleaner - and after sales service”
I love my hand held turbo vac. I had long searched for a plug-in small cleaner for my caravan and this just fits the bill. Easy to use, easy to store, and does a good job. It only had one fault. I was unable to open it up properly to empty it. Therefore I had great difficulty in cleaning it out. This needs to be done each time it is used. As soon as Lakeland heard about my problem they offered me a replacement, which I gratefully accepted. I can now whizz round the 'van and soon get the job done, and quickly and easily empty the machine. Excellent after sales service. Thank you Lakeland.

Broken within two years and not used much.”
We bought this for cleaning the stairs as full size vacuums are cumbersome. The suction was very good, but it was awkward to clean the filter. But what really disappointed was the fact that it blew up less than two years after having it. It was only used for stairs and nothing else and the stairs did not get vacuumed every week. So given the amount of use it got I am very disappointed.

Did not last very long.”
by Miss Taylor
Very disappointed with this vacuum. I have only used it about 4 times and although I have had it for a while I thought that now my vacuum has retired I would start to use this one. Not a patch on the other vacuum and the fan belt has broken already. What a waste of money, time and effort. Not up to Lakelands usual standard I'm afraid so I guess it will go to the recycling heaven!

Simply the best by Carol Longstaff”
What an absolutely brilliant buy this cleaner is. We recently laid laminate flooring to the ground floor but kept the stair carpet so I wanted something portable for the stairs. After using this vac for a few times I have found that the best way to use it correctly is to empty and clean it after every use and I use a tiny brush to clean between the folds of the filter as well as gentle tapping. It is amazing how much comes out. I found it easy to take apart, got it after second attempt. The suction is superb coming from such a small appliance as long as you look after it.

I have only used mine a few times and have now given up as it has hardly any suction. Cleaned filter, read manual. Still no better.

Wonderful suction but fiddly to put dust cap back”
Easy to operate, wonderful suction and results so I don't mind the noise. BUT, is it me? I can empty the machine no problem but have not found the knack of fitting the dust cap back on. I fiddle with it for ages and in the end it happens, but I am never quite sure how I did it and I am left red faced and cross. It's making me feel stupid and is putting me off using this wonderful stair hoover as I know that it will need emptying and then fitting back together again. If it wasn't for this problem, and as I say it may just be me having the difficulty, then I would give the hoover 5 stars.

When I bought this I wasn't especially hopeful about it, having had disappointing experiences with similar products in the past. I was wrong - it is superb and makes living with two long haired cats much easier and cleaner. My advice, for a longer life and better suction, is to order a spare HEPA filter (about £8 from the address on the accompanying leaflet). This way, you can swap them as required, and even clean the filter that isn't in use with the vacuum! I have found that this maintains the best suction and prolongs the life of the filters.

Whilst looking for something else online i discovered this vacuum still for sale, much to my surprise. Disappointing is an understatement. It may well be just in my home where we have almost all hard floors. All the machine does is blow the dust and pet hair around using the air from its back end. This kills your knees as you chase around on the floor. After persevering and then buying another cheaper hand held i have finally replaced it with a very well known brand which is proving far better value for money.

Fantastic Turbo Vac”
by Ms Osborne
This hand held vac eats dust and debris! I am truly amazed as I had my stair carpet and rug deep cleaned professionally just 5 days ago.The thick grey dust startled me,but my rug actually feels new underfoot now and visibly brighter again.Better still is it's ability to remove pet hair from upholstery-akin to miraculous! My ginger cat sheds on the sofa as she brushes against it to sleep on the floor behind it,leaving a furry patch, this vac ate the hair with NO problems, very satisfying & easy to remove and clean the filter. Not a problem at all took only a few minutes.Excellent! Am VERY plea

This review is for an older version of this product
I'm amazed at the positive reviews because I've had mine for a couple of years (maybe it's had a revamp in that time?) and I hardly use it, partly because of the noise, which I'm sure the entire street can hear (advise wearing ear plugs), but mostly because it lost its suction very very quickly and despite being emptied, having its filters cleaned etc, has not regained it. The only bit that does work well is the hose with the brush on the end. I bought it for cleaning the car, but I can never bear to use it and I wish I'd never bought it. Waste of money.

Does exactly what it says”
What a brilliant little handheld hoover! Stair carpet came up a treat and I was able to get right into the corners and edges of each stair tread. Nice long cable too. Have (sadly) waved goodbye to my other handheld as it couldn't stand the comparison!

We bought this small cleaner last year and are delighted with it. It is small but can do big jobs. I use it in our home and caravan and cannot recommend it enough. A really good buy.

fabulous and tough - does the job”
by Lisa Shaul
I've had one of these for ages- and it's marvellous. It's very noisy, but extremely good at vacuuming pet hairs from stairs and sofas - and surviving being thumped around by 2 young children (whose job the stairs and sofa vacuuming are). Spares are available at good price and speed- simple spares like filters and belts from Lakeland, and complicated spares - (like the time I had to replace the entire back end as the kids threw it out) and a today a new brush bar- as one of the bearings on the brush bar is coming to the end of its life.

Best handheld cleaner I have ever used. I don't know how I ever lived without it. Long cord for using on stairs together with powerful suction. Worth every penny.

My daughter-in-law bought this for me as an early Christmas present. What an absolute boon! Light and easy to use, excellent for pet hairs - sucked them up where I couldn't even see them! My best Christmas gift ever.

Bought this a few months ago for our motorhome in which it is used often. It does an excellent job. Suction is so strong it lifts the rubber backed mats off the floor. Lead is long enough to reach from our one 240v plug to the front of the cab and to hoover the rear garage. We don't have pets but we do have young grandkids who holiday with us. Yes it is noisy but who cares if it cleans well. Once I (and he) got the knack it is a doddle to empty and fit back together. We empty it outdoors and tap the filter straight into a bin. It amazes me what how much dust it collects from such a small space

I have just used my cleaner for the first time and am absolutely delighted with its performance. My stair carpet which was regularly cleaned with an upright cleaner is now pristine. The amount of dust and dirt this cleaner collected surprised me. It is easy to use and its attachments got into crevices easily. If you want a professional result, this is the cleaner for you. I wish I had bought it earlier and I had debated whether it would be worth the price. It certainly is. Well done Lakeland!

An excellent little vacuum cleaner which is so useful for cleaning the stairs and getting cat hairs off the sofa . Like others, I found it difficult to clean the filter at first, but I've discovered that a stencilling brush is perfect for the task. It would be nice if a suitable cleaning brush was provided by the manufacturer. I agree with previous reviewers that it would be good to be able to wind the cable up for storage.

Good but loud”
by Kirsty Hall
It's a powerful little machine but my goodness, it's loud. Good for quick clean ups that aren't worth getting the big vacuum out for.
