Really love my new slow cooker, which was recommended to me. My only criticism would be that it is a real shame that the lid is not ovenproof as this would be a real help in heating up leftovers in the oven.

Perfect for one person”
I love this slow cooker, which is the perfect size for one person. I don't think I've ever seen a slow cooker in this small a size. I've had it for two years now and it has been doing a sterling service. Switched on in the evening, the next morning a lovely meal is waiting for that day. Thank you, Lakeland, for catering for small households. I'll always be grateful for your quality, your customer service and your thoughtfulness.

I bought this to replace the small oval cooker I bought from Lakeland years ago. This is an excellent product, however it it too small for cook and freeze left overs. My fault for not realising. Please could you sell a 3.5 round cooker.

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. There are other, larger, slow cookers available from Lakeland: Lakeland Family Slow Cooker 3.5 litre capacity (item 12921) at £29.99 & Morphy Richards Slow Cooker 3.5 litre capacity (item 18926) at £29.99.I hope that helps.

I live on my own, and depend on my two slow cookers.. Yes, two. I have a huge 7litre one, in which I make Chillis and curries and other dishes every few weeks, and decant the result into (usually about 8) smaller portions. This little slow cooker is then fabulous, as I pop one of the frozen portions into it when I go out, sometimes adding extra ingredients, and when I'm back home there's an absolutely perfect meal waiting for me the moment I walk in - wonderful on a cold day, and I wouldn't be without it!

Its not what it says it is”
by Dr Wordsworth
This slow cooker purports to be 1.5 litre and 1.2 litre to allow for cooking and bubbling. If you put 1.2 litres of water in it you get overflow. It actually only holds 1.1 litres to the brim and so cooking capacity is maximum 0.8 Litres. Isn't this a problem under the Trade descriptions act?

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. The max capacity of the bowl is 1.5 litres but the max practical cooking capacity is 1.2 litres (this level is just below the inner edge of the bowl. We'll be in touch shortly to help.
A Little Gem of a Cooker”
I bought a slow cooker a couple of years ago and use it every week. It is very useful as when I come home, my meal is waiting for me. I also take it with me to my mobile home and use it just the same as at home and have a lovely meal waiting for me if I have been out all day visiting the seaside. I usually get 3 meals out of it and I've a good appetite. Well done Lakeland! I heartily recommend it to everyone.

Small But Perfectly Formed”
I am no stranger to slow cookers but needed one that did not cremate the contents whilst cooking. I was a bit dubious about some of the comments about the size being small BUT I have just cooked my first dinner in this little beauty and there was more than enough for one, a good two portions. I am really pleased with the way it has cooked too. All in all a great buy. Thank you Lakeland xxx

I bought this slow cooker (in red) earlier this year and have found it to be a most useful piece of kitchen equipment. I can prepare a warming casserole early in the day and head off for a nice walk in the knowledge that I will have a nice hot meal to come home to. It is a good size for a casserole for 2 people.

Shame about the handles”
We received one of these as a house warming present 2 years ago. It is great, except that the handles went brittle and sheared off after about 1 years use. In that time I can't see that it was put under any undue strain or misuse. The screws holding them on can be heard rolling around inside, but the cooker still works fine

I love this slow cooker. It is a perfect size for a family of two and often we have left overs to freeze. I think it's great value for money too. Just wish I was a bit more organised and prepared my food the night beforehand so I could use it more often!

An excellent little pot and worth the 5 stars but really cannot be described as suitable for two. Yes, it will work if you put only meat in but once you add veggies there is just no room for the amount of liquid in the recipe. I shall give this one to my daughter who lives alone and get the bigger one for us.

Ideal for one”
by Mr smith
Good for two if you are small eaters. My teen son can eat all contents in one sitting. The only problem I have with mine and I have had it many months is that there is a 'hotspot' that tends to burn the food unless you are able to stir the food one or so during cooking, this does not ruin the food by any means but these things happen sometimes with slow cookers. To find a good recipe just look it up on the net. I like : One fistful of stewing steak, one can of baked beans, one beef stock cube / pot. Cook 6- 8 hours on auto or 10 on low. Simple.

Perfect for 2”
I was given a large slow cooker as a present and I loved the results I got. Great for dinner parties and big family dinners but it was just too big for the two of us. The smaller size is perfect and I love using it. Other reviews have commented on more recipes and I agree, there are only two in the booklet that came with the slow cooker and a few more would be great!

Having bought a robot vacuum cleaner, for the house, the slow cooker does the same for me in the kitchen, saves time. Having lived in Italy for 25 years, I can now make a very good meat ragu adding red wine after a few hours of slow cooking, do the same with curry, because these dishes are so much better slowly cooked to enhance the flavour, you can make a few kilo's and freeze some for emergencies, thus saving time, money, and stress. I have a great recipe for a meat ragu and during the current problems is it not about time we made our own and controlled what we ate! better quality and cheap

no waste delicious food”
by Helen Marshall
I hate waste. Using a larger cooker meant we a) had the same meal at least two days running or b) binned the leftovers or c) froze the leftovers and d) binned them later. And of course we both had the same meal. No longer! This is a little gem. Large enough for two, but small enough cook a single portion well. So far I've made myself a delicious macaroni cheese (made with creme fraiche) and a tasty chicken and rice dish. Get a good book with recipes for one or two people. Cutting down larger portions doesn't always work. Takes up very little space. Buy and enjoy!

Small is Good”
I am not usually given to writing reviews unless a product is bad. However, with this product I feel the need to sing its praises! I have a variety of slow cookers from 3.5l to 6.5l which all have their purpose, from soups to large joints and birds. This little baby fills a gap when all you want is a meal for one or two people. It has been put to good use, especially for curries and casseroles, and it has the bonus of an "auto" setting. Well done Lakeland for an excellent product!

Excellent little slow cooker”
I love this little slow cooker, it is just the right size for the two of us. Wouldn't be without the auto switch and have made a curry, stew, braised brisket joint and rice pudding etc. great addition to the kitchen

Love this little pot.....!”
I was bought one of these for Christmas as I am a student who spends a lot of time on placements, so I need something to help me make easy dinners when I get back. It is a brilliant help and the perfect size for me and a friend to have a great meal from. It's not burned anything as of yet and I've only had one disaster, though that was a bad recipe and not the cooker's fault! I would definitely recommend this to anyone with busy days as you just put ingredients in it, switch it on and wait.......easy peasy :)
