I bought this blender to replace my trusty old Braun one. I use it mostly for blending soups and sauces in the saucepan. Unfortunately the design means that liquid splashes up through the holes in the bottom of the blender. The instructions say that you should allow food to cool to room temperature before blending, but that's not what I want to do with a nice, fresh batch of soup, and even then the liquid would still be sprayed around the kitchen.
A note from the team
We're sorry to hear that you've experienced this problem. We'd recommend that you begin blending at low speed, and gradually increase the speed as required and to prevent splashing. Press and hold the ON button to start blending and use the speed selector dial to turn the speed up (+) or down (-). Keep a firm hold of the beaker, bowl or saucepan handle as you blend. When using the beaker or a saucepan, lower the blender into the food before you begin blending, to avoid splashing. If using the beaker, please do not fill above 800ml. We hope you find this guide useful and will be in touch soon to help.
