I am so pleased with this blender, it makes light work of soup, and chopping small amounts of onion etc. I use it in conjunction with the silicone splatter guard to prevent splashes. I don't have a problem taking it apart and it is so easy to clean afterwards. I would recommend this product, I love it!

I really wanted to like this blender stick but sadly I just can't (I bought it a year ago). The chopping attachment in the bowl doesn't, for me, get low enough in the bowl so you'd have to have quite a bit of mixture in there to get it to chop. Good for quickly chopping onions, but not for pesto. The stick blender itself hasn't worked out for me. I has scratched the bottom of my pans (I think it's the plastic feet which do this). The stick blender I used previously didn't do this (but I know I probably shouldn't have used it in pans anyway, so my own fault!). Can't really recommend this.

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry that you're disappointed with the blender and will be in touch shortly. Please be careful when using the blender in a saucepan as the metal edge of the blender could cause damage to the pan, particularly if it has a non stick coating.
Problem with whisk”
by Mrs Maggs
Very happy with blender attachment. However when I use the whisk to whisk egg whites the appliance comes apart, and I checked it was clicked in properly first. This happens every time I use the whisk. Would not recommend.

A note from the team: Thank you for placing your review and taking the time to discuss this with me today. We're sorry to hear you've experienced this problem and hope we've helped.
I bought this to replace a mini-compact food processor I used for making bread crumbs, chopping nuts etc, and have found I've been using the other attachments more than the mini chopper attachment, especially the blender - I don't know how I've managed so long without one.

Ace mulitpurpose Hand blender”
I was a bit concerned when I received this hand blender for Christmas having had a 600w hand blender before. However I needed have been anxious. This is great product and lives up to my previous 600w models. It makes light work of blending my soups and whisking cream and toppings. Recommended :)

I purchased the kitchen stick blender yesterday afternoon and made a potato and lentil soup the same evening. The blender was powerful and stuck to the bottom of the pan in the beginning, but a minute later I got used to it and was able to comfortably move it around. In response to other reviews, I must say I found it quite easy to detach the top part to wash it when I was done. In sum, I must say it did a fantastic job, and I ended up with a wonderfully blended creamy soup that my husband and I quite enjoyed!

Plenty powerful enough”
by Ms Beavan
I needed to replace an ancient moulinex stick blender and assumed more power was good so bought the top of the range, but actually the 800w was too much! I mainly use the blender for tofu/berry smoothies and it's only too easy to cover the kitchen in purple specks (or worse). This one does the job brilliantly and the accessories are a bonus. I agree with another reviewer that taking off the blade to wash is not particularly easy with the little push buttons - I think the old moulinex was a screw fitting which was easier to use.

Fabulous blender but...”
by Mrs Davies
Fabulous in it's working state but I find it extremely difficult to remove the attachments from the body. You have to squeeze the two buttons inwards to release the attachments, which I have to get help with! I certainly can't do it with one hand. But--perhaps mine is particularly stiff? Though it hasn't improved with lots of use. Otherwise fairly priced and excellent at it's job!

Well priced, well-built and good accessories. Perfectly powerful and easy to clean. We've had this for a month or two and are very happy with this so far. Lakeland guarantee of course means extra peace of mind, but doubt we will need to use it.
