"Not as good as expected"
23 May 2015
I bought one of these several years ago. I found it a little disappointing as, despite following the instructions, I found that a lot of dishes dried out. I bought a couple of slow-cook books but couldn't overcome the problem nor the fact that most veggie dishes taste the same when slow cooked. Now I am wondering whether to bin it, or if I can revive it by using it for baking artisan bread. Apparently some slow cookers can be used for baking, but some will crack if there is no liquid in the pot. I've lost the instructions, am hoping that someone at Lakeland will be able to inform me.
A note from the team
We're sorry to hear you've been disappointed with this product. It does sound like more liquid is needed in the slow cooker and a possible cause of the similar taste results could be down to seasoning. We'll be in touch soon to help with these points as well as your question on suitability for bread making.
