Excellent quality and great priceby Corinne

De Luxe Cook's Blowtorch

Unlike many of the cheaper torches, this one is well-designed and solidly made. It was really easy to fill, with the standard butane gas from the supermarket. Initially I thought it wouldn't light, then realised that the (slightly wobbly) thumb switch needed to be pressed down firmly, as if using a cigarette lighter. The flame is easy to adjust from gentle to powerful. I bought this for a present, and will buy another one for myself!

De Luxe Cook's Blowtorch

Having been given a blowtorch as a christmas gift (not the lakeland own, but one which looks a similar design) I was disappointed that it broke; despite receiving a replacement, the same thing happened again. So i popped onto the Lakeland site and brought a very good madhine, cheaper and guess what? Yes, it works great - very pleased with purchase.

Trouble refillingby

De Luxe Cook's Blowtorch

We've had this for a couple of months now and are having great difficulty refilling it. We have the butain but for some reason it doesn't appear to go into the torch. We've only managed to partially refill it once despite trying on several occasions using the adaptor that came with it.

Gas??by Miss smith

De Luxe Cook's Blowtorch

Difficult to locate gas. Should say normal lighter fluid. Difficult to use and has tarnished after a year and not much use...

Where's the gasby Mrs Darby

De Luxe Cook's Blowtorch

A lovely present that I was pleased to receive, having passed on a Lakeland catalogue with certain pages highlighted. It is disappointing that I have not been able to use it because it does not come with butane gas and the recommended type is not available from Lakeland.

Shame about the gas!by Barbara Jefford

De Luxe Cook's Blowtorch

Like the previous reviewer I too received the blow torch as a gift. My husband was not best pleased to be told, when he bought it at your Bicester outlet, that they did not stock the gas. He also wasn't told what sort of gas he needed so he assumed that he'd have to wait until after Christmas to buy something suitable, whereas he could have gone straight to a newsagents. Neither of us being smokers, it hadn't occurred to him. Perhaps you should have a suitable notice on the shelf alongside the product and also tell your staff to make customers more aware of what is needed when purchasing this item. I shall look forward to trying it out - eventually!
