Worked well for the first couple of goes, then became difficult to turn the rollers. Turns out the cogs inside are not hardened and just bend. Threw it in the bin after a month.

Do not buy, poor poor quality”
Imported cheap rubbish. Does not make tagliatelle, but stripes of still connected pasta. The handle constantly falls out, and most importantly by changing the width while drawing the pasta out, it cut me really deep on my thumb. Even trying to avoid being cut, I still got cut, leaving blood all over the pasta.

I had allowed for the first time making pasta going a bit wrong, but with the help of this machine it has genuinely been perfect pasta every time. And it is way easier to use than you might imagine!

It's easy to use but one must get the recipe right. Another review has already done this but it does depend on the size of your egg. Use one egg first, and then if the flour is dry add an extra egg yoke. Also if you are using this machine for the first time I strongly suggest that you make your initial pasta batch and put this through the rollers a few times and then through the cutters then chuck the dough away. No matter what the instructions state there is metallic residue on the machine when first bought. Once this is done, the machine is clean.

great pasta, but some flaws...”

I was given this machine as a present. As a very keen cook and lover of Lakeland, I was eager to try this out. It seem solidly made and operation is simple, but I had trouble finding an area of work top where the clamp would go. I found the instructions pretty poor for someone who'd not made pasta before, and I ended up looking on 't'internet for help. This notwithstanding, it made good pasta up to the cutting stage. The main problem is that the cutter attachment fails to cut properly, leaving me with a tangled mess and bad temper. I've experimented, but with no success. Am disappointed :-(

I bought this machine for my husband's birthday. He is the cook in the family. It was by far the best price and when looking at several they all seemed very similar. He had a problem with the first batch as the dough was too sticky, but once he got the hang of it, it works very well. He has often made pasta both, lasagne sheets and cut into strips. Good product.

I bought this to make gluten free pasta. My first attempt was almost perfect - I made the pasta sheet a bit too thin before cutting the tagliatelle. Guidance on thicknesses would be nice. I also tried a small sample of fettucine which came out perfectly. You need to pass several pieces of dough through to clean the machine before first time use not just one. I was picking grey bits out of the pasta sheet to start with. The pasta dough fed through the machine without sticking at all. The handle does come out a bit too easily but you just have to press in slightly as you turn it. Recommended!

This machine is very easy to use but would like to know what thickness to use for what pasta. Hat a recipe for Tortelloni but started off with far too thick and ended up using 8 as final thickness. So will try again but would like to know the thickness needed for say lasagne, canelloni, tagliatelli etc. I read such bad reviews about the ravioli attachment I am surprised that Lakeland are still selling it. I purchased the canelloni mould but have yet to try it out. Want to get the Tortolleni right first.

I had this machine for Christmas and have used it several times. For basic pasta rolling it is great, but when it comes to using the tagliatelle cutter, I just can't get it to cut through the strips properly. The leaflet suggests adding more flour to the dough to overcome this, but this hasn't helped at all. I'm not even convinced that the cutters are close enough together to even cut all the way through the dough. It's a shame because this limits the use of the machine to just lasagne sheets or hand cutting of ribbons.

The first machine we bought, it had 2 clamps but no handle. We exchanged it for a different one, it only lasted 6 months. The third one lasted 3 months. So we got our money back. We felt let down, will not recommend it and will not be buying from Lakeland again.

Lovely machine but watch out for the handle it constantly falls out which is not good when you are rolling the pasta. Not quite sure what is going on with the clamp it works itself loose so the machine moves about, thought it was just me but my husband has tried clamping it to the worktop and it loosens with him to. All in all a nice looking machine but I would not purchase another one.

Attracted by the money-back guarantee, I bought the Lakeland pasta machine to replace the very prematurely deceased celebrity-cook version bought in a sale. What a revelation! Sharp, efficient cutters and rollers. It's true the handle does come out if you roll too enthusiastically but it's intended to be removable so it's only doing its job. Thanks, Lakeland.

I have wanted one of these for ages and just received it today. I bought mine to use with fondant/sugarpaste. It works like a dream!! I just dusted my fondant (from the Renshaw for Lakeland range) with corn flour and it fed through beautifully. I'm so happy with this purchase; would definitely recommend, great product.

I was a bit worried about using a pasta machine and had visions of a sticky mess! However, using '00' flour worked really well. It's quite tough and elastic to knead, but it rolls well and doesn't stick to the machine. I use one medium egg for 100gm of flour, two for 200gm etc. Mine will not fix to my worktop - not enough overhang, so I use my table. The handle does fall out quite often. Suggest you get help if doing a lot - it's quicker and less tiring! I feed in the dough and turn the roller, my daughter catches it. Have made tagliatelle many times now - cooks in 2 minutes and is lovely.

Just bought yesterday made my 1st ever pasta and its brilliant, made lasagne no need for attachment just put through machine to setting 3 or 4 no fancy edges but who see's it when it's covered with sauce. Taste's just the same but no frills so why waste money on attachment.

Ordered this online from Lakeland, fast, free and efficient delivery. Couldn't wait to use it and when I did I was so impressed with the result. Pasta dough is very easy to make and from start to finish the meal took less than an hour, including resting and rolling the dough. Pasta machine was so easy to use and the result was fantastic. I can't wait to use it again and again and have a feeling that homemade pasta will be a weekly occurrence in our house now! Well done Lakeland, another fantastic product.

I am now on my 2nd of these machines having returned the 1st one under the impression that there was a fault with it. There seems to be a fundamental design flaw with the gear mechanism-when running the dough through the low gears (widest setting) the gears just stick (not the pasta) and you can’t get a smooth rotation of the rollers – it’s the same without any dough in it. … It is smoother on the higher settings but is incredibly frustrating. As others have said the handle falls out too easily also. I am taking back the 2nd one and will be looking elsewhere.

This is a great piece of kit. My boyfriend makes pasta all the time simply using pasta flour and 2 eggs. We haven't bought the ravioli attachment, we just cut circles out of very thin dough using a small cup, fill them and stick them together using a bit of egg round the edge. Perfect recipe for the filling: our supermarket do very handy small boxes of bite-sized pieces of cheese for salads which happen to fit PERFECTLY into ravioli... goat's cheese and caramelised onion variety is gorgeous - most mouth-watering pasta I've ever tasted!! And so easy to make!

The instructions say to wipe the scrapers with kitchen paper during use and I've just done that (first time I've used the machine) and the scraper cut right through the paper and cut my finger quite badly (badly enough to mean I've had to stop cooking). I don't know if mine is particularly sharp or what, but be careful when you clean it!
