"Just doesn't work for me"
20 January 2016
I have tried using my banana bag several times without success. On each occasion the bananas have gone black on the outside within a couple of days. I've tried eating them anyway, but they also seemed to have developed a strange taste. Other reviews suggest this might be to down to having my fridge too cold. However, mine is set at 4 degrees (in line with the FSA recommendation of below 5 degrees) so I don't think I could safely set it warmer. I really wanted to make this work, especially as there are so many positive reviews, but I am at a loss to know what I'm doing wrong.
A note from the team
Thank you for placing your review. Bananas over ripen in minimal warmth and spoil in very low temperatures. The bag keeps them cool enough to keep the flesh firm and stop over ripening but warm enough to stop the flesh chilling enough to spoil. You may need to wipe any excess moisture from the banana skin before putting into the bag. We'll be in touch shortly to help.
