Easy Apple Corer

I've had this item for ages and have mainly used it for apples and larger soft fruits that have stones - plums etc. howevr i've just found another use. I love stuffed hearts but stuffing them has always been fiddly until i had a 'light bulb' moment recently. fill the metal tube with the mixed stuffing, put into the hole(s) in the hearts and push the stuffing out with the 'plunger'. This means the stuffing fills the heart. Could do with an extra hand to start pushing down the plunger, i just need to find something to hold the heart so that i can use both hands to stuff it

This is not the product for the daily apple break. This is best for cooking apples.

Easy Apple Corer

Great little tool for apples and pears! Ignore reviews that say it's not sharp enough and it's hard to remove the extracted core. If it was any sharper it would be a little dangerous. It can be hard to push out the extracted core (this is inevitable, otherwise it wouldn't do what it is designed to do). Just hold it over the sink, point it downwards (or up it the air if you want to amuse the kids!), give it a firm push with the heel off your hand and it'll pop out! Fab!

This corer would be fine for eating apples but requires several goes for large cooking apples plus some effort.

Excellent - use it nearly every day!!by Fiona

Easy Apple Corer

Have tried many many apple corers and they have all broken due to poor construction - so was pleased to find this design. We use it most days, and provided you take it slowly when you push it into the apple, it cores the apple quickly and easily and have never had any issues with the core getting stuck. A welcome addition to the kitchen!

Cores OK but there is a design flawby Susan

Easy Apple Corer

Although it's good at removing the core from the apple, it is really difficult to remove the core from the holder. Getting the core out requires lots of brute force by bashing the corer into the holder and then digging it out with a knife. It actually takes more time than using a knife! If there was an easy release mechanism it would be a great product, but as it is I can only give it one star. Disappointing.

Have given upby Jayne

Easy Apple Corer

I had high hopes for this apple-corer and have persevered for a long time now but I finally concede defeat. Firstly, it is not sharp enough and takes a lot of effort to cut through the apple. Then it takes even more effort to remove the core from the corer. So much so that I have resorted to getting my husband to do this bit with the eventual result that the handle has come away from the metal shaft. It's a nice idea that doesn't work in practice.

Easy Apple Corer

I have just ordered a second one of these for use in my motorhome. I have had one in my kitchen for many years and would not consider coring apples any other way. Yes I agree that sometimes the core is difficult to get out but I have overcome that by cutting the apple in half from the stalk to the base and then using the corer on each half. I know that won't work if you particularly want apple rings but how often do you want to do that. It is a wonderful gadget that I just wouldn't want to be without - that is why there will be one with me wherever I may roam!

Having a Bramley Apple tree in the garden I wouldn't be without this corer especially at Harvest time! It needs a good push, but it does the job beautifully!

Very disappointing. Cutting edge not sharp enough, a saw tooth cutter might be better. Plunger needs considerable force to expel core.

Although it cores very well to try and remove the core from the holder took more time than using a knife, so I am afraid it sits in my drawer looking very useless.

Easy Apple Corer

This corer does the job eventually, but you have to be quite strong to push the corer in all the way through the apple (and I am not old or infirm), so I would not describe this as an 'easy apple corer'. The edge is quite blunt, and I think it needs to be sharper. Then the plunger doesn't push the core out very easily either. I am still using it after 2 months, but it hurts my hand every time, so I may give up soon and buy a different one.

This is my best tool for getting rid of dandelions in my lawn. When they are small you car 'core' them out. The whole root is removed so there is no regrowth, and it's organic!

Easy Apple Corer

Having read more 'unhappy' than 'happy' reviews about this corer....I just have to say that it is the most used gadget in my kitchen drawer. OK, so you have to put in bit of effort into using it, and maybe move it a bit and repeat the action to get all the core out on a larger apple, but all apples are difficult to core and I think this does the job really well. I wouldn't part with mine and would encourage customers to try it - and be happy doing so!

Easy Apple Corer

I have tried many corers and always seen to end up cutting my fingers getting the core out. This is a brilliant product that I not only use for apples, but also pears and plums, so my children can eat their fruit without having to worry about pips and stones. I have also converted my mum to this corer too!

Makes the job harder...by Joanna

Easy Apple Corer

I purchased this item some time ago and am still unable to use it with any degree of ease. The core gets stuck in the tube and you need to be quite strong to push it through, which defies the point really. I would not give it any stars as it really is a waste of money, I have now given up on mine altogether.

Doesn't workby Rabiya

Easy Apple Corer

I bought this hoping it would help processes the apples from my apple tree, however after the third apple my hand was sore and I was exhausted. The corer goes in but the core doesn't come out, even with the help of the plunger. When you do manage to push the core out , it flies across the room suddenly, leaving more mess in its wake. The cored apple left is also not let entirely "cored", there was still a lot of seeds and hard bits left from the core. I found it easier to give up and go back to coring by hand.

Great for preparing apple rings for crumbles and saladsby Rachel

Easy Apple Corer

I usually make thin slices (through my mandoline) of apple. Taking the core out with this corer let me create beautiful rings or half rings of apple. My toddlers also like to help by pushing the apple out of the corer and eating it, just leaving the seeds and stalk! And my guests always asks how do i get beautiful presentation :)
