I've had one of these carving dishes for years (at least 5) and friends coming for dinner always say how practical and smart. I can't remember how many I've bought as presents, but I'm just about to add another to the total!

This carving dish is a little on the small side for us, especially xmas time for big turkey. It washes excellently. It's good value for money. Solid, spikes well positioned. I would recommend.

No more sliding”

At last - I can carve a joint without it sliding all over the place on a board. Really does the job.

Husband and I both had fond memories of these as children and struggled to find one for ages and then we saw this. Well made and incredibly useful the hubby loves it - in fact he wont shut up about it!!!!

spiked carving dish”

I have had one since the '60's and now propose buying one to send to my daughter in Vancouver - they are brilliant - essential even. I watched my son-in-law fight a large turkey on a plate at Thanksgiving a few weeks ago and said 'I will send you a PROPER carving dish!' I am so glad you still sell this item.

Having had one of these dishes years ago, decided to purchase a new one. I used it once - great, then next time I came to use it the middle spike fell off, or should I say stayed in the meat! Really really disappointed. K

My mum has has one of these for years and tho it seems such a simple, handy thing but it just seemed to be quite expensive for what it was!! However, I have now bought one and they are so useful when doing a roast - the juices don't dribble all over your work top like they do if you put it on some kind of chopping board, the meat stays still while you're carving and you can leave it on this when you pop any leftovers in the fridge. I will probably have this as long as my mum has had hers - not a bad price when you look at it like that!!
