“Not magic, but very successful
”
by Mrs Judith Austin
I have used these "magic balls" for years now, and have never failed to end up with a sparkling clean decanter, vase, bottle - even the water tank of my steam iron! It's not magic, however, just a common sense application of a very old method using ball bearings to scour without scratching the glass. My little pot of balls is now looking a little sad, after years of good service, so I am about to replace them. I can't understand the poor reviews - but it does take a little effort to get a good result.

“Great - but take a tip
”
by Helen Nunn
My magic balls clean as they should - but I didn't dry them properly afterwards, and they tarnished badly in the pot, needing a fair bit of attention themselves before re-using!

“Amazing, as long as you put some effort in!
”
by Anna Roberts
This little pot of copper balls really is fantastic. I had a red wine decanter which had become so dirty and grimy I was ashamed to bring it out in front of guests, one go with these magic balls and now my decanter is like new! I must say though, at first I was disappointed, I put some water and detergent in with the balls and swirled it round (as per the brief instructions) and nothing happened. Luckily I had read the reviews beforehand and one lady mentions that it took vigorous shaking and was quite tiring... so I followed her advice (my arm now aches quite a bit, it took 3 or 4 minutes of hard shaking), but my decanter is spotless! I definitely would recommend this to anyone.

“Does not work
”
by Helen
Very disappointing- I had high hopes for this product given the write up. However, it just does not work at all. I have no idea how they could possibly remove years of residue and grime when they could not clean my decanter, which had red wine in for one evening! Dont waste your money. Lakeland take note- one of your failures.

“Most Magic Balls
”
by Maureen Heath
They really are magic. I have an early seventies small diameter vase. Its very crinkly, not only on the outside, but the inside too. Having left a couple of small flowers (thats all it can take) in the vase for too long, it had dried out. The vase was left with a deep black line of gunge which I had no way of removing because of the small diameter. I followed the instructions on the Magic Balls, but the balls didnt reach as far up the vase as the gunge. I then set about giving the vase some vigorous shaking (very good exercise), and low and behold, a clean vase. I thoroughly recommend this product.

“Disappointed as well
”
by Ellil
The demos I have seen of this product were great but I was disappointed as it simply did not do what it said on the tin. Product did not make any difference what so ever. Maybe it was the technique I used?

“Wow!
”
by Mrs Sykes
I have no idea how these little balls work - but they do! Much better than trying to stick your hand into the bottom of a narrow vase to clean it.

“Disappointed
”
by Christine
I live in a hard water area and am plagued with lime scale. My water carafe is impossible to dry completely and has consequently marked with scale. I'd heard these magic balls were marvelous so I thought I'd give them a try. This was a mistake as the lime scale remains and is stained from the copper. So basically my carafe is ruined.

“Simple But Effective
”
by Peta
This is one of those ideas that seems too simple to work. Basically take your dirty object and swoosh the little copper balls in some warm water and gentle detergent round the bottom of said object. Any dirt or marks lurking at the bottom (and corners if there are any) of vases, tall glasses, jugs etc etc are soon removed. Brilliant.

“They are really Magic!
”
by Michele
I have always thought this product must be too good to be true, but after reading the review thought I would give it a try. I'm glad I did! I have two small crystal bud vases which I found impossible to clean but this product has definitely lived up to it's name. Excellent.

“Fantastic!
”
by Niamh
These little copper balls are terrific! I collect glass from the 60's and 70's and often fine that items have stains and marks inside where they have been used for flowers etc over the years and not properly cleaned. I have tried all the tricks I could . . . rice, small screws and bolts, toothbrushes etc. Nothing beats these. Highly recommended for many possible uses, decanters, vases, stemware etc. Thanks Lakeland.
