Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
Why, oh why did I wait 2 years to buy a grand Remoska? I studied the reviews endless times and now I think its the best thing I have in my kitchen. Cakes, Quiche, flap jack and roasts to name but a few all great successes-minimal washing up and a lot cheaper to use than the big oven.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
I ordered this item on Wednesday 18th April @ 3.20pm on the internet,lo and behold item arrived Thursday about 11.30am,now that is excellent service and also delivery was free. Regarding the grand remoska I know it will be a brilliant item,as I have had a similar item already for the past 2.1/2 years (not purchased from lakeland) and that one has also been excellent, and I have still got it,and working fine. Lastly already in the remoska I have cooked chicken breasts, with roast potatoes, one beef joint in roasting bag, with veg,and an Apple and Lemon sponge pudding. All cooked perfectly.

“Wonderful product!

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
When my oven died a friend highly recommended her Grand Remoska. At first I was slightly sceptical as we are a family of 5 and I bake quite regularly. However I have found it to be so good I've not gone back to an ordinary oven - everything cooked in it tastes wonderful and it is so easy to use; I make quite adequate quantities of food for our family too. And it comes with a genuine lifetime guarantee, so I know I will never need to go back again. Thank you Lakeland!

“An essential part of my kitchen
”
by Joanna
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
As a Grand Remoska owner of 8 years or so, I would find it difficult to do without. I use it at least 3 times a week for roasts, sausages, layered veg dishes etc. I also have a standard Remoska in the campervan. Saves lots of washing up. The only disappointment is that the non stick coating on the lid and around the rims of the pans is wearing away very quickly and for this reason I'll give it 4 stars instead of 5.

“Poor quality
”
by susan wilkinson
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
I had to return my first Remoska after 6 weeks due to an electrical fault. Eventually I bought another as I had found it useful. I have had this one for a year and a bit and although it has been very useful I'm not at all happy because the plastic switch has fallen apart, the non-stick coating on the lid is disintegrating and the top side of the lid is covered in what looks like rust spots, even though I clean and dry it thoroughly each time. £129 is a lot of money for a non-stick pan with a lid containing a heating element, so I would expect top quality.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
i purchased the remoska grand as it had been recommended to me for my caravan,i was so excited to use it and put my caravan table in the awning and put my remoska on its stand and cooked a sausage caserole for our tea,the only problem was the stand that the remoska stands on must have retained the heat from the pot and it burnt my caravan table with the feet of the stand,so i recommend putting it on a heat protector as well, i didn't expect the stand to get red hot as well.now i have to replace my caravan table, also dont put it under a cupboard as the steam rises and can warp your cupboard.

A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. The Remoska will get extremely hot during use and some of this heat may transfer to the pan stand.
“Love it! Remoska standard.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
I bought a Remoska cooker in August after being undecided for a few months before, I didn't want another 'gadget' clogging up my cupboard. I am so glad I did. Apart from the saving I MUST be making on electricity (I've hardly had our main oven on since I bought my Remoska) I find it amazingly easy to use, and it is so easy to clean. I have used it for loads of things - baked potatoes are wonderful, casseroles, lovely tender chops, and I'm going to try Toad in the Hole. A tip for roast potatoes - sprinkle them with a little bit of flour (par-boil first for 5 mins) after putting them in the oil - they will be crispy and a wonderful colour. Thanks Lakeland!

“Love it..
”

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
Purchased my Grand Remoska after a recommendation from a friend and never believed I would use it so much. My original intention was to use it to save heating up the oven for small items ie: a couple of jacket potatoes, chicken legs/thighs etc. However, it is now used on an almost daily basis and it is my main oven that I use on rare occasions. I cannot understand how it works, but it does, some things cook better than others and some things take a bit longer than in the conventional oven but it is worth it considering the savings in the running cost. It is also worth buying the cookbook as there are some wonderful recipes. You do have to be careful when removing the lid as it is a bit awkward to handle when extremely hot, and I have also found the lid does get stained and marked easily, but the pans are so easy to clean which is a bonus. I have now had my Remoska for 18 months and would hate to be without it. Thank you Lakeland for another fantastic product.

“can't live without one
”
by Mrs Bagot
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
my cousin got me onto using a Remoska. he had one on the go with an extra pan but I think he now has two! anyway, they make the very best jacket potatoes you'll ever taste, forget microwaved ones. also chicken whole or portions is a revelation. I recently has a loose lid problem and of course Lakeland lived up to their policy of exchanging a faulty item with the least fuss. you can't fail to be impressed by the product and the company.

“Cooks a treat but what to do with the hot lid
”
by Julia
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
I love the way this cooks, and the price per meal in electric. It can manage a whole breakfast, tuna pasta (with uncooked dried pasta) and drop scones but my only complaint is the lid. It is heavy and hot and means that you have to hold it whilst adding /doing things etc. If you use this in a caravan space is limited and there is no where to put the lid down and because of it's weight it does become a bit of a problem. Maybe a lid stand like the halogen thing use to have might be the answer ? Would be 5 stars execpt for that.

“Perfect for One
”
by Zena
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
This was recommended to me by a friend, as I live alone and was always heating up ready meals after work in my big oven. It's perfect for the job! In fact, because it's so easy to clean, I find I'm doing much more "proper" cooking too! I often do real roasts and lamb shanks at weekends, now... which all turn out perfectly. So much cheaper to run, and I don't need to wait as long for it to heat up. I couldn't be more pleased with this product.

“Getting on for 20 years use now...!!!
”
by John Bostock
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
So useful, producing the most tasty meals, very easy to use, so easy to clean - and easy to store. One of my great purchases - and from Lakeland, a firm favourite for my shopping. Yes the element rattles, yes cleaning the steel top needs to be done after each use or might be difficult later - but so what - I'm still cooking great food with it most days...love it...!

“Gathering Dust...
”
by Carole
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
I bought my Remoska from Lakeland about 18 months/2 years ago after a lot of careful consideration and after reading the reviews because it is not a cheap item and I wanted to be sure I wasn't going to waste my money. I also bought the wire rack and cook book to go with it as I was so sure I would love it. Alas it was not to be. It sits lonely in my cupboard gathering dust and only gets used if we fancy a jacket potato. I found that although it cooked lovely roast meats, the roast potatoes were never crispy enough which meant I had to have the oven on for those which negated the economy of the Remoska. I'm a keen baker but felt the cakes just weren't the same in the Remoska - uneven cooking. If the lid gets any fat marks on the stainless steel from roasting they are so hard to remove. The lid also makes a weird rattling noise - the element I should think. I really wanted to love this item but it is now gathering dust and is a constant reminder to me of just how much money I've wasted on it. Glad so many of you love it but it just wasn't for me.

“Lid rattles
”
by Erica
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
I have had a standard Remoska for three years and shortly after I purchased the Grand one as my mother was given the standard. My Grand is not half as good as the standard and is already on it's second lid which develops a rattle and loses power. I am about to ring Lakeland up this afternoon and I know they will send a replacement. I still love to cook with both Remoskas as we are in the country. Wish I had stuck with the standard though as I feel guilty ringing wonderful Lakeland up about it. I hasten to add that I have been very careful with both pans and cherish them.

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
We started off with the Standard Remoska, mainly for use in the caravan. As a result, three friends have also bought one! We have now progressed to the Grand Remoska & it is brilliant. We use it with a timer & are never without a hot meal waiting when we return from a day's walking. How about a nice cover for them?

Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
I am very pleased with my Grand Remoska. After a false start with a faulty lid (replaced with no problem) the replacement is perfect. It is used everyday. I agree with one of the reviewers that all you need is an imagination and good quality food, yum yum.

“I love my Remoskas
”
by Mrs Campbell
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
Starting with the little one, & graduating to the Grand. Unfortunately the second one developed a fault in that the handle became dangerously hot & as I lifted the lid, water came out down the handle,& steam coming out of the handle during cooking. We immediately ordered another one as we use the Remoska every day & cant ever contemplate being without it

“Life Changing, in a good way
”
by Alastair
Grand Remoska® Electric Cooker
We have been using all the Remoska formats for the last 4 years, and since that time have cooked our main meal on one of them - usually the middle sized one - for at least 300 days per year. We live in a small flat and have found this the perfect cooking system, and it is rare that one of our meals takes more than 5 minutes preparation and 55 minutes cooking from a cold start. Washing up involves 2 place settings and the Remoska pan. I don't regard the Remoska as an oven, as it seems to offer a hybrid function between that of an oven and a steamer. Forget the recipe books and use you imagination! For the medium size Remoska a meal for two is simplicity its self: Layer green beans and sliced carrots on the bottom of the pan, then place half a medium size chicken on the beans (trim off excess fat) Distribute some half or quartered parsnips around the chicken, and then add a few sliced spuds on top. Dust with herbs and a drizzle of olive oil on the spuds, if you are of a mind, and all is done. When cooked you will find a vegetable/chicken stock at the bottom of the pan. Our neighbour in the identical flat above ours cooks every day in the normal manner using a fan assisted electric oven and an electric hob and spends £120 per quarter more on his electricity bill. Baking a Manx soda bread takes me 45 minutes from beginning to end. The Remoska is both effective and cost effective.
