I bought this based on the review of another customer for use when icing my brothers wedding cake. At £18.49 I did think it was quite expensive but decided to give it a go and I'm so please I did. At first feel I thought the icing and marzipan would stick but with a fine layer of icing sugar it was fine and the mat stayed put on the table. I could then simply roll the mat and icing up for an easy transfer to the cake having rolled it out to the required size as shown on the mat. I am an amateur baker and highly recommend this product.

I was a reluctant pastry maker/user because of all the hassle and mess of rolling out pastry and then it getting stuck on the work surface and splitting apart when I lifed it up. Not so with this product. It really does what it says. You need less flour for rolling out, so it's less messy. At last we'll be having vegetarian nut Wellington more often, and homemade mince pies at Christmas.

I found this to be an excellant product, not only for pastry but rolling out icing when covering a cake and making flowers etc.
