“reliable, convenient, and great value!
”
by Ms Paul
As many others, started off using sachets, but having got a second hand breadmaker have found that this has truly come into it's own, making even the wholemeal loaves much lighter. Have found that it's best to mix the yeast with the flour before adding the wet ingrediants, but that is no problem. I keep it in a sealed container and there's no way it would be around for as long as three months, with all the bread I've been making! Much more economical to use the correct amount of this than sachets, and also more environmentally friendly - less packaging with this. Highly recommended.

“Great!!!!!
”
by stephen broadley
This has made the largest loaf I've ever made (I set to medium size in my panasonic breadmaker). I had to put the loaf in on its side in my lock and lock bread holder. Yeast fits exactly in the smallest lock and lock container that I got with the assortment pack that I also bought,so should keep much longer than the three months stated. Will be ordering more in the future.

“What a find!
”
by Jaqui
I have been baking my own bread for longer than I care to remember and have used every yeast available (including my own aged yeast plant ) and this beats the spots off all the others. I have NEVER had a failed loaf with this one. I just made an order for another 10 packs so i guess that's testimony to how impressed I am with the product

“Love it!
”
by Simon
This yeast is brilliant. I have only just bought my bread maker from Lakeland and this stuff works like a dream. It is easy to use, and so much more cost effective that the sachet alternatives. I would highly recommend this product.

“Quick yeast
”
by Pauline
I think I must have been a bit unlucky looking at other reviews. But my yeast was no use at all, and my malt loaf recipe did not rise at all as it has done with sachet yeast from supermarkets. So I'm afraid I will not be trying it again.

“Great money saving yeast!
”
by Annette
After reading the previous reviews I was hesitant to try this after for many years using a supermarket own brand sachet yeast. However I have found it to work just the same! And it works out cheaper by nearly 40p for the same weight of yeast compared to my previous ownbrand - great if you make lots of bread! Another plus point was for once I can measure out the yeast accurately rather than guessing 1 or 2 sachets while following recipes.

“GREAT YEAST
”
by Nathalie PALLEN
After reading the reviews about this product, me too I am surprised to read that this is not a good yeast. I have been buying it from Lakeland for a couple of years and use it for baking in my breadmaking machine without ever having any problems. Furthermore, it really lasts a long time if you store the packet adequately (dry, away from heat/cold and light). Lastly, it is quite well priced.

“First class product
”
by Lesley
I am very surprised at the two negative reviews. I have been baking my own bread and using Doves Farm yeast for the past seven years. The only failures I had were recently when I retrieved a packet from the back of my cupboard and used it. The bread didn't rise at all and when I checked the yeast had been opened and was out of date, my fault for not tidying the cupboards more often. A new packet of yeast and the problem was solved.

“Excellent product
”
by Janet Sinnerton
Very surprised to read the negative reports on the Quick Yeast. I use the yeast on a regular basis and have had no problems. It is better that using the individual sachets of yeast in that it is more economical and you are less likely to run out of yeast.

“my bread WORKS!!
”
by Helen
Great yeast, my bread always works, i make 3 wholemeal and 2 white each week, the recipe i use is 400grams of hand hot water, 1teasp doves farm yeast, stand for 10 minutes, then add it to 600grams flour and a pinch of salt, knead and allow to stand for up to 2 hours, knock back and put in tins [or shape into whatever shape you want, set to rise till doubled in size, then bake in a hot oven for 45 mins max. Good bread every time. I use my "thank you" £3 voucher from lakeland to buy this product and it really does work well - i wouldn't use any other yeast now.

“Excellent yeast
”
by Dr Colclough
I am surprised at Andrews and Fionas disapointment with the Doves farm yeast. I have been baking bread for over 35 years almost on a daily basis. I have tried all types and various brands but nothing rarely beats fresh yeast. But on this occasion I have to say I have had a great experience with Doves every time. I am now on my third packet and about to order more. So reliable and great results. My rolls are like hot air balloons.

“Doves Farm Yeast
”
by Fiona
I am extremely dissapointed with this product. I have been making bread for over 10 years and since using this brand of yeast my loaves always come out flat and heavy. At first I thought I had just one bad batch but this is my 3rd go and the result is the same. In between times I have used satchets of dried yeast with perfect results everytime.

“Not much Good!
”
by ANDREW PATTERSON
Not much good! I have baked bread by hand now for several years and have tried a variety of yeasts. This one has got to be the worst by far. I have no idea why this is called quick yeast,it simply isn`t (quick). I followed the instructions to the letter and ended up with a heavy flat loaf. Stick to freah yeast if you can get it, or dried active yeast -much better!
