Traditional Moroccan Tagine 1.2L
Product number: 7184
With over 100,000 Traditional Tagine's sold, our version of this traditional Moroccan cooking pot ensures steam re-condenses back into the food, helping to achieve authentic, tender dishes that are full of favour.
Whether recreating meals enjoyed in far flung places or taking your first foray into Moroccan food, a stoneware tagine helps to achieve an authentic dish. For centuries, North African cuisine has relied upon this unusual-looking cooking pot, whose lid ensures steam cools and re-condenses into the food below, to create meltingly tender casseroles, while the slow cooking develops all those wonderful flavours for a truly exotic taste experience.
Handmade from glazed terracotta, it can be used in the oven (up to 200°C), or on the hob with a heat diffuser placed below it. Please note: the glaze may develop fine lines with use but this will not affect overall performance. Please note: Not suitable for ceramic, induction or halogen hobs.

Really nice colours and design. I brought this as a gift so not personally used it but really pleased with it.
I've had the larger size tagine for almost ten years and it's still going strong. I can't comment on using it on a hob but I do use it at least twice a week in the oven. It's been amazing for everything from casseroles to curries. I wouldn't hesitate to replace it, if ever I needed to.
this is a beautiful tagine and cooks wonderful meals but unfortunately my replacement one has cracked again despite being cooked on a diffuser on the gas cooker. lakeland kindly replaced the first one free of charge but i have decided to buy a cast iron metal one next time.
Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear this has happened and I'm glad we've been able to put things right for you.
I used a diffuser but the tagine still cracked on first use . I am very disappointed .
To avoid cracking avoid subjecting the tagine to extreme temperature changes. Do not, for example, add very hot liquids to a cold tagine (and vice versa), and do not set a hot tagine on a very cold surface. However We're very sorry to hear this and we'll be in touch shortly to get this sorted to your satisfaction.
