Why, oh why, did I wait so long before purchasing one of these? It's a brilliant bit of kit giving super results every time. Thoroughly recommended ..... if you're humming and hawing over whether to give one a try don't hesitate - just do it. You'll be glad you did.

My 'one pot' Tagine”

I bought my tagine some time ago. I have visited North Africa and sampled the delights of this cooking method many times. I use mine for everything. It's great for cooking meals when you are not sure at what time you will serve them as it doesn't dry out. As well as traditional dishes I cook spaghetti sauces, curry, chilli and fish dishes. There is no limit ....be brave.

Man's best friend”
This was given to my husband by our daughter for his birthday. It has inspired him to cook and has made lots of lovely things using it. I love it because he 'owns' it. It's easy to clean and works well.

I bought this with the diffuser primarily because the price was so reasonable - I'd wanted a tagine, but the price of others was prohibitive. Absolutely delighted with it, it was much more robust than I thought it would be. I use it all the time and I've just ordered a second one! Would highly recommend.

We enjoy our new tangine but have a problem lifting the lid when hot. There is nowhere ideal to grip. We have solved the problem effectively but inelegantly by tying a loop of string just under the ridge of the lid (rather like old fashioned christmas puddings!).

Bought tagine as thought would look pretty in kitchen! But it is much more than that, the food is wonderful. Comes with recipes, have tried two of them and not been disappointed. Often don't finish working until late and can have food prepared and in tagine where it keeps beautifully moist, no drying out at all. Have ceramic hob so use my tagine in the oven and it produces the most succulent meals. Inexpensive too, you get a lot for your money, I'm very pleased.

Tagine and lid”

Whilst I love tagine cooking, and it does cook very well, I have a big problem with actually removing it from the oven when it is hot, and have a lot of trouble taking the lid off. It is only a matter of time before I either burn myself, or drop the lid - it is very awkward to grip when hot as there is nothing to catch hold of. A big shame really.

I just had to comment on the excellent service provided by Lakeland when I made my first order, purchasing an excellent Tagine, posted out promptly, well packaged. The Tagine is a delight to cook with, makes excellent meals and easy to clean. Also looks so attractive in our kitchen. Opened a whole new world of Arabic cuisine ...mmmmmm !

This is absolutely great item. I was very happy as you can cook without a hassle, just put everything in and leave to simmer for 2-3hrs.

We bought a Tagine and after watching 'hairy bikers' using one - have used it at least twice a week - it produces some ab.fab. food we had never tried couscous until we followed a tagine recipe and can't stop using it now. Would like to buy our daughter one who lives in Adeliade, Australia. can anyone give us an Adelaide shop or supplier name please.

I recently bought this Tagine with the heat diffuser and have only managed to try out the meatball recipe (so far). I can honestly say that I was not disappointed! I was a bit nervous about using it and was worried it would crack when used on the stove top, I started off on a low heat and worked up to a higher one and was pleased to see how well it held up. I will definitely be using this more often, it's so versatile and I can't wait to try out the other recipes provided.
