Sharpham Park Organic Wholegrain Spelt Flour
Product number: 71422
Easier to digest than modern wheat varieties because of its unique gluten structure, spelt is a cross between Emmer wheat and Goat Grass, and has been grown in Britain since the start of the Iron Age.
Nutritious, high in fibre and an excellent source of slow release energy, it contains more protein than ordinary wheat flours plus all eight essential amino acids. With a nutty taste that adds a great depth of flavour to baking, it’s very versatile for use in pastries, biscuits, crumbles, cakes and breads.
Grown and stone-ground in the traditional way on the farm in Somerset. Bread recipe included.
