In addition to using the Lekue to steam fish and vegetables, I have cooked sausages and bacon in it, and thanks to the insert, the fat drains away. I have also used it to fry onions in a fraction of the time by chopping them and stirring in a teaspoon or so of oil; the onions soften quickly and will brown if left long enough. It is easy to clean and I have found it to be a real timesaver and therefore worth every penny.
