"Otherwise Excellent"
A big step up from the stovetop I used 40 years ago. I am not a complete newbie, but feel the manual could have explained more. It must be really hard for a complete novice. At the price this let it down. Otherwise excellent.

Sage The Fast Slow Pro 6L Slow Cooker BPR700BSS
Product number: 71025
Designed by Sage, the Fast Slow Pro is an intelligent all-in-one multi cooker that both slow cooks and pressure cooks. Automatically adjusting time, temperature and pressure, it ensures delicious, perfectly cooked meals every time, whether you’ve got all day or a couple of hours. Cooking everything from casseroles to curries, Bolognese to pot roast, and lamb shanks to cheesecakes, it’s an easy-to-use one-pot marvel.
Pre-Set Functions
The Fast Slow Pro features 6 pre-installed settings. Selecting ‘Slow Cook’ turns the Fast Slow Pro into a traditional slow cooker, and uses a low temperature to gradually break down and tenderise tougher cuts of meat for delicious stews and casseroles. The pressure cooking function increases the pressure within the machine to speed this process up, perfect if you’re in a bit of a rush. There are also options for searing your meat in the bowl before stewing, sautéing vegetables for a rich base, reducing and steaming.
By using the easy-to-use dials and buttons on the front of the machine to navigate the clear LCD display, you can quickly and easily select one of these settings. There are also pre-set functions for different foods, from rice and risotto to lamb shanks and Bolognese. After choosing your option, the Fast Slow Pro automatically adjusts the temperature, time and pressure, guaranteeing you perfectly tender food with minimal effort.
Dual sensors at the top and bottom constantly monitor the ingredients for more accurate temperature and pressure control, and a hands-free, variable steam release function allows steam to be released safely and automatically as your food cooks.
How Pressure Cooking Works
Pressure cookers work by heating water in a sealed pot with a valve to control the steam pressure. Inside the pot, the temperature of water rises above the usual boiling point of 100°C, instead going up to 212°C. The increased pressure caused by the steam forces the liquid and moisture into your food, cooking it quicker, and, as steam applies uniform pressure to all surfaces, prevents food from coming out looking crushed or smashed.
The Fast Slow Pro from Sage uses a cleverly integrated ‘Steam Release’ button to keep your hands well away from the steam as it is let out of the pot at the end of cooking. It also lets you release steam quickly, slowly, or in pulses. This is because different foods need to release steam in different ways. Stocks, for example, need pressure to be relieved naturally to keep them clear. This means, whether you’re cooking stocks or stews, they always come out perfect.
Customisable
If you don’t want to use the pre-set settings, the dials on the front also allow you to manually set the time and temperature, giving you complete control and the possibility to experiment with different foods. There is also a keep warm function, which keeps your food hot and ready to eat for up to two hours, just in case you’re not quite ready.
From everything from soups to curries, steaming fish and dumplings or thickening sauces and stocks, the Fast Slow Pro knows exactly how to get the most out of your ingredients.

More recipes and cooking instructions would help. Bit daunting at first but am getting to know my cooker better every time I use it. It's very much about diving in and experimenting and I am having fun learning what it will do. Love searing function, really makes it a 1 pot cooker!
I use this a couple of times a week at least - soup making, casseroles, risotto etc pressure cook and slow cook. Easy to use and clean. Other equipment gets put away and comes off the shelf to use - this is now a fixture and left out I use it so often. I used a slow cooker and also a pressure cooker for many years but this combination is perfect. The sear/sauté feature is very useful for many recipes. My only complaint is that I would like a spare inner bowl and these are never available on the Sage website. - if the bowl gets scratched the item will be useless.
I’ve had my Sage FSpro for 3 days & used it as a pressure cooker 3 times! The risotto setting has changed my life - no more stirring, perfect result! I made the chilli recipe (Bolognese setting) from the recipe book, totally delicious! I have cooked beetroot (potato setting) and it is perfect! I will be using the slow cooker setting this weekend. Plenty of useful settings that are not over complicated. I recommend purchasing another bowl & seal for foods like cheesecake as strong smells can persist after washing. It would be great if you had them. The steam release is safe. Highly recommend.
I had an electric slow cooker which I rarely used and I was thinking of replacing it with just a multipoint. When I researched them all this one stood out for functionality and range of cooking options. I use it much more often than I did the old slow cooker. I agree with one review that remarked on the lingering smell of previous meals cooked and you can't get away from that. However knowing I have fully cleaned it I just put up with it. It is a versatile pot and I would recommend it if you are thinking of replacing or purchasing a slow cooker/pressure cooker.
